When I first got this Tornado tank kit yesterday, I tried it out with the pre mixed e-liquid that came in the little cartridges and at first I was getting very little taste and little vapor as well. But I tried some different things, like pushing the battery button and hold it for about 2 seconds before hitting it. That seems to make a little difference, but also I stop dragging every 2 seconds for about 1 second, then start dragging on it again, etc. Previously I wasnt sucking on it very hard at all, and I was allowing some air to intentionally slip by my lips as I dragged on it, but I have cut down on the amount of air I let slip by and I am dragging on the tip harder now.

I still have the original atomizer head that came with the kit and it is not a low resistance atomizer, and the Tornado tank kit does not run on high voltage batteries and isnt a variable voltage device, yet contrary to what I have seen and read in a few places, I am now getting very good results with mine!

Consider this too. When I ordered this kit, I also ordered the Totally Wicked Gold and Red label non-nicotine e-liquid flavorings, and I was dismayed to find out that the ones I got are all terrible! That is one bad thing about getting better hits now, is that I can really taste these flavors! Problem is most of them have their tobacco flavor mixed in and its awful! The only flavor that doesnt have tobacco flavor is raspberry, and its bad too.

So I've been just using the non-flavored nicotine liquid mixed without flavor, but with a larger amount of diluent to make up for the lack of flavor drops. That brings up another problem: Totally Wicked was supposed to give me PG diluent and VG nicotine liquid, so that whatever mixture I made with flavors, would come out like 80%/20% PG/VG or 70/30 at least. But they messed up and sent me VG diluent and PG nicotine, so I mixed 5 drops of PG Nicotine to 26 drops of VG diluent to make my e-liquid, meaning that I now have a 15%/85% PG/VG ratio!

I've found that I like a much lower nicotine ratio than I thought I would. But I am now waiting on new flavors from like 6 different stores. I have ordered 1-3 flavors from each to see if I can find some good ones, cause what I have now stinks... In the mean time I did buy a small bottle of coffee extract/flavor from McCormick and added a few drop to my 1.1ml tank, and its not great but its better than no flavor.

But even with a very low PG ratio in my liquid, I am getting throat hits that I can feel, and getting really good vapor of course. But with the PG menthol e-liquid that came with the kit I was getting good vapor too.

So this Ego T kit works well. If people arent getting good hits from theirs, I think they are just doing something wrong.

There definitely seems to be a technique to vaping that is different than smoking and it takes some getting used to. Hitting the little button a couple of seconds before you start on the draw helps. Otherwise, the first couple of seconds is just air. In the beginning, I was a little too aggressive with my draws and expected too much. Now, slow and easy provides a better flavor and vape for me. :D
