i have had my GG slim with extension tube for about a year now and for the most part i love it BUT I am burning high voltage atty's way too rapidly. I keep them well jiuced and moist but im burning them weekly! it's gotten to the point that if i dont find a solution i'm gonna shelf the GG.

What exact atty from which distributor (please include hyperlink) have you found to be the best for high voltage (7.4V) vaping?

Some suppliers have 4.5 and 5.0ohm attys, maybe give one of those a try but voltage that high is really hard on attys, atomizers are not built to last like they should be. One other option is to buy one of the replaceable attys that people make so you can wind your own coil to the resistance you need and besides that it literally costs like 20cents for each coil and wick so even if you burn it up you are not out 5 to ten bucks. I do not want to post links to another supplier in the gg subforum so let me know via pm if you really need the links.

no hyperlink, but i think any atty in the 4.7-5.6Ω range will serve you well; closer to 5.6 than 4.7 will be even better. you can go lower, as you probably have already, but then you're peaking 12 watts which will pop an atty pretty quickly.

I've gotten a some 901 HV's that tested @ 5.5 ohms, and even though they are only 3 bucks each, I wouldn't subject them to that much current. I don't know of any atty that can stand up to 7v for long. Maybe someone knows of a MegaHigh Ohm Atomizer. lol

are you saying you can use LR's with 7.4V vaping?

No sir, he is saying that hv attys do not last any longer at hv than lr do at low voltages, correct me if I am wrong but I am quite certain. If you use a lr atty at hv it will pop substantially sooner than a regular or hv atty then again there are exceptions to every rule so if you happen to get a really good quality standard atty and a bad quality hv atty then who knows, anyway in theory a hv atty will last longer than a lr atty at that high of a voltage. To be honest I did not know that people actually vaped at that high of a voltage anymore. I have gotten rid of a lot of my problems with attys by finally getting down to lower voltages and just using 6 volts when I am chasing a demon.

I think I remember a couple months ago some one talking about a 6 ohm but cant remember where I saw it.

The less the voltage, the bigger nic we need to get satisfied even if we vape with LR atties
We cant use 6 volts at LRs because it gives a burn taste. But the hit is incredible. Also the temperature goes very high and I dont know if this is good for our liquids

The best combo for me is 6 volts with 4 or 4,5 ohms atties. Also battery will last much longer than using 3,7 volts with LR atties

i regularly use 5.2-5.6Ω attys, generally pen styles when dripping and 510s otherwise, at 7.4V. i get the same decent lifespan from them that i do with 1.5Ω LR attys at 3.7V, not spectacular by any means, but just as good. i don't know if i've used any very high resistance 901s though, maybe 4.5Ω tops in a tank once or twice, but not my atty of choice.

I dial mine back a bit to 5v+ to hit my sweet spot. That's what I love about vaping....everyone gets to do what works for them; something rare with most activities.
