I traded my old 1980 Chevy c10 today for this beautiful 1971 Chevy c10.

I love my new truck!

I'm not much into lifting two wheel drive trucks. If it was 4x4 I'd definitely lift it sky high lol.

I have many plans for her(haven't named her yet). Tune up is definitely on the to-do list. Switch out the carb for a holley and look for a new intake manifold. Plus a ton more lol

It will take me years to get it closer to finished but I'll never complete this project. Once you finish it takes away the joy of working on her. It's going to be my daily driver soon enough once I sell my car.

Any other car/truck enthusiasts? I am learning as I go. Being a gear head keeps me out of trouble. I can't afford anymore trouble.

Still waiting on my GG package patiently even though I'm actually freaking out. My happiness will come once I have a GG in my hands again. Sorry for the long post, I'm in a good mood today. :)

I know what you mean about lifting a 2wd. As for being a gear head I am right there with you. Although I normally don't do as much working on them myself. I have done a bit I lifted my last truck and have done simple things like bolt on exhaust pulleys CIA's ect. But I have never been good with motors. Maybe if I ever have my dream garage so I could take my time on projects.

I like to mod anything lol.

I'm selling my 2006 eclipse this week. It's been fully modified but the speeding tickets suck.

My truck will be my new baby. I'm hoping to supercharge it in the future.

I know the feeling I mod when the money is there. My F150 was lifted on 35s with pulleys cia tune and exhaust. I did those mods myself. My ex Corvette was blown making 550 hp with full. But I had the shop do the blower did the exhaust myself. Had a bunch of other vehicles with bolt ons (exhaust, pulleys, CIA, ect). This is the first time in a long time I have had a completely stock vehicle lol.

I have a project car sitting in the garage right now but I have been spending all my money on GG's lol. Its an '86.5 Supra and needs quite a bit of work under the hood. I had diagnostics done and it has like 16 error codes on the ECU :( bad O2 sensor, bad knock sensor, bad AFM, bad speed control sensor, etc, etc, etc. I cant decide if I should replace all these parts or just have the whole engine rebuilt. I know quite a bit about engines, but not enough to feel confident in rebuilding it myself. I took it out last week and started hearing a knock :( This will be my winter project.

Those are so awesome. Id like to find me a supra or a cheaper 240 to play with but they're getting harder and harder to find.

You should try the rebuild and if you get stuck I bet you have other gear head friends. I learn everything from my dad and from hands on experience. When I screw up the internet helps too lol.

I'm going from a fully modified little import car with ac and power everything to an old truck with only power steering. I might add ac later but its almost winter.

Say goodbye to roxanne. She's getting sold this week.

That's a sweet ride man. Its too bad you have to let it go... I had an n/a supra back in high school and the only car that could beat me was my friends 5.0 fox body that was an old state patrol car. I ended up totaling that car being stupid and drinking underage. So when I found this one I had to jump on it. These are the only pics I have of it right now...

I don't have to sell it, I'm just going to daily drive my old truck now. A lot easier and cheaper to work on/modify. Going to get the 350 motor around 400hp+ and I'll be happy.

That's a clean car. A lot of aftermarket support. Should be a fun project. I had a nice lifted blazer when I was younger I lost from drinking and driving. Being young was fun.

Beautiful car, I love Corvettes.

At my old job I had the honor to drive many. The new ZR1's blew my mind. I've driven AMG Mercedes and all the M-series BMW's and still prefer the ZR1. Only car I'd choose over that is the Cadillac CTS-V coupe. The CTS-V is on my dream car list. Also drove the new GT-R, another animal in its own.

The word 'Afford' isn't in my vocabulary at the moment. Lol.

Today I took the bed liner out of the truck. They aren't good for rust prevention. A lot of surface rust I need to remove. That's a long weekend project. I also degreased the engine bay, started to shine up.

I need to fix/tune the stock carb. If I can't resolve the problem I'll just replace it with a holley. I also need to cut out the cherrybomb exhaust, they sound like crap. Replace them with a couple magnaflows and it'll sound amazing.

Sorry long ramble. I'm addicted to my truck at the moment lol.

Sounds like fun. Yesterday I decided to check my brakes because they've been squeeling. Turned out to be brake dust because all 4 pads have at least 10k miles left on them. I should have just replaced them while I had the wheels off but I was lazy because I wanted to check my mom's brakes. Unfortunatly hers need to be done as soon as I have the chance. Probably going to have to replace her power steering pump when I have the money to buy one as well. It's making some noise although it is working at the moment.

That Supra looks like a great project. Should be fun when you are done.

And since people are showing off my ex old lady

She's a beauty, also one of my dream cars. I highly doubt I will ever be able to afford one though. Where was this picture taken? It seems very familiar like I can almost put my finger on it but not quite...
