I just had to look up what you were referring to. That sucks though.

I spent the last 2 days working on my mom's Jeep. Thing is beginning to kill me with electrical issues. The climate control module's plug is known to melt and hers did causing the heater to only work intermittiently. So we had to cut the plug and solder some wires on the prongs and splice it in. We spent 2 day trying to figure out how to get it out and today actually soldering. Ended up having to do it in the car in the passenger foot well because we couldn't get the other wire out.

On top of that her windows and mirrors and locks aren't working either. So we took off the door panel and made sure everything looked ok in there. Just as I was about to give up I noticed the door light came on when someone hit the window up button behind the driver. So after some investigation it turns out if someone behind the driver holds up the window button the door gets power and everything works. If not no power which means no windows mirrors or locks. So we took off that panel and everything looked ok there. Unfortunatly I am not good at tracing down electrical issued in cars so I may have to send it in to the shop.

Once we get that fixed we just have to replace the power steering pump and trace down an evaporative leak (possibly another shop job) I'll tell you after having soo many electrical issues with her car as much as I love my Jeep I don't think I will buy another one.

Yeah I can't really either. But we got it together. The heater issue has been an issue on and off for a couple months. Wasn't an issue till it started getting cold so we had to do something about it. As for the windows it is just annoying not being able to use them.

On top of all that I think someone may have left my mom's leatherman in the engine compartment and it may have fallen out on the test drive. Which is annoying because I know I grabbed it when we finished working on her car but I needed to jump start my car because someone left the dome lights on all night so we had to work around the engine compartment again and no one has seen it since. Maybe we will get lucky and find it in one of the cars or tool boxes sometime though lol.

I'm thinking of getting a kick2

I've been out of the loop for awhile so I'm skeptical

IMHO the Kick 2 is great especially with JGG since you don't need extra tubes to not see the threads. The Kick at 10 watts just wasn't quite enough for me. I normally have my 2 set at around 12-13 watts and it is perfect. I still can only use a battery down to about 3.6 before I start noticing a decline in power but even so that normally gets me really close to a tank in my Ithaka so I just fill both the battery and the tank at the same time.
