Greetings Guys, Sorry I am posting this in the new members forum, Since I am a new member I can only post here unfortunately. But I need to get this off my chest. This IMEO GG Ithaka is the worst purchase ive ever made as far as RBA/RTA goes, Very overpriced and nothing but a hassle, Either I need to fuse my own wires (which means i need to keep two types of wire on hand just to do a rebuild) or buy prefused wire(even more money, and takes away some of the ability to make your own customized wraps etc). Building it is already crap compared to a basic post designed atomizer that takes 5 minutes to rebuild without having to wrap wire around a bottom post and get more loss or whatever etc. Kayfun/Russian runs CIRCLES around this mess of an atomizer and the vapor production/flavor is FAR SUPERIOR. I will NEVER buy imeo products EVER again, and I feel I need to let others know about this as well, this product is CRAP, OVERPRICED and borderline a scam, NO innovation, NOTHING that sets itself apart from others in its catagory(aside from the fact is sucks). Another thing to note, majority of the time, you have to dial in the settings JUST right also to prevent sucking in about 1ml of juice into your mouth on every hit, or have it leak out the bottom pin because the o-ring sucks so badly. PLEASE guys PLEASE dont buy this junk. IF IMEO wants to clarify something with me feel free to pm me. As of now, for any of you guys that love the more high-end stuff in the vape realm, Check out the SQuape Reloaded for a RTA, or the Plumeveil for an RDA, They are both TOP-NOTCH products that perform extremely well with great true innovation in the vaping world. I also still enjoy using the Kayfun or the Russian 91% for tried and trusted solid tank-types as well. both very good products, Aethertek also released the Orchid however I have not tried it out as of yet but hope to in the near future. I hope I am not insulting any Ithaka fanboys or anything as I dont mean to. Thanks guys just a heads up.

None taken, However, Why settle for a sub-par device when you have so many other options on the market that you can build with much better ease than with Ithaka, I mean, It tells you something about ithaka when the manufacture even created a *new* version of the ithaka that apparently takes out the need to use R/NR wires, and instead does a typical post design, and even ships them that way I believe now, However, I am unlucky enough to have the one with the R/NR and with no available source as far as I can tell for the replacement deck, I am out of luck, on top of the fact that again, its overpriced nonsense just to pay that much extra cash to have a deck that should have been done in the original spec.

Why didn't you research before buying it? You didn't know how the wiring worked before you purchased it?

I don't nor ever had an Ithaka, but I do have a few other GG devices. They are certainly for those who don't mind tinkering, that's no secret. Some of your other assertions are laughable from my experience, especially the "NO innovation" one, considering GG is often the first to innovate and others are fast to copy, certainly not "junk", as you say, just not for you.. Your best bet is to just sell it and go forward.

Oh I agree on that. I absolutely refused to buy any of the R/NR type rebuildables. (The Ithaka was far from being the only one of that type when it first came out that way.) When did you get it? It sounds like they don't sell them that way anymore. It kind of sounds like you paid the price for being an early adopter. (Which does suck. I've been there)

maybe if you love "tinkering" with ecig's all day sure, im guessing GG is for you, However, Being a busy person and not having the time to "tinker" and previously being a analog smoker and never "tinkering" with my cig, it just makes for a no-go for ex-smokers who do use it as a smoking cessation device. I did however, research is before purchasing, and it did not look as if it would require that much extra as opposed to a kayfun or similar devices. anyhow, if you want to buy it let me know, be happy to sell it to ya, verify the serial with IMEO if you want to!
