Sorry I didn't realize the brass was new lol. I asked because I would love to get my Alum TMF re engraved but I am afraid of just trusting anyone. And if that was the case I was going to ask who you used lol.
No fright the lighting on the engravings of the SS GGTS (all I have first hand knowledge of) will appear black in indirect lighting. If the light source is on the engraving, you will see the gold color as seen in some shots. I defer to the experts but to me it seems to be a by product of the laser engraving.
All I know is I love it!
You can make your engravings dark for clarity in a photo or glitzy and sexy gold in another.

Speaking of sexy, Silent that brass telescoping tube on the SS GGTS does make for a classy look man. Beutiful! Now I must add another must have piece to my list.
I would also love to get ahold of a brass telescope for my SS GGTS! Pleeeeeeeeeease Imeo... make some to sell as an accessory...pretty please?????
fright, the engraving on my brass V2 Slim is barely there anymore. I'd really like to have it redone too. I'll be sure to post before and after pics if I decide to do so

LOL that is my goal 1 of each finish and someday maybe each feed system for the TS. I wanted a slim just in case I wanted a tiny vape and I started with the satin or nickel GGTB the alum was bought for my mom but it's her birthday gift so it is mine for another couple weeks lol.
