yes, I understand that a lot of men are high maintenance,
altho I do believe they say that about us,
but I do get the feeling that a lot of our young men out there are lacking in parental/family backup and support.
they have good wives, or partners,
but not that good old family / blood -- to fall back on.
I find it such a shame,
my son and I are family, and best friends too,
he was raised openly, with honesty in all things,
he was never put down,
always encouraged to further his efforts,
never derided for any failures,
instead encouraged to try harder next time,
and always praised lavishly for accomplishments.
Take strength from this you guys,
give to your children, what you
are missing out on, --
the beautiful, unconditional, and immortall,
enduring, and undying love
of a supportive, and non-judgmental parent.
When they are older, you will have your reward,
a child who is also your best friend in all things.
