Nothing will ever be as good as my GG as you know but I like to have all of my batteries charged and ready to go. I like having the option to give my batteries a break and keep them charged up in my bag and ready to hit the road. I love 6 volts but I bought some 18650's for emergencies. I just wish I could figure a way to piggy back an external 18650. I want to be prepared for anything. I even ordered a battery tester. Whatever it takes to keep me from smoking.

I agree, Imeo could do a much better job,

Take the bottom end cap --
and make a longer brass rod up the centre to contact the top connector, and wire it into the bottom of the rod in th centre hole-----

then you could plug the usb wire into the centre hole from the outside of the cap,
and there ya go-- neat and clean USB for the GG.......

just switch your end cap for either battery or usb -- ????? yes

Nice work!! I am going to have to make myself one! This time I skip the USB and power it from R/C battery pack on the road and mains transformer when at home!! Tho perhaps an R/C battery pack would end up being too big

In GG grant, can the wire come out the end? It seems to work just fine with the cap removed and the only problem would be removing the passthrough wire from the GG, it would somehow have to become detachable!!
