This is his post as follows:
"
GGTB as Photo with 901 end cap
Telescopic Battery Extender
901 to 510 adaptor

top cap...bottom cap and button in perfect condition...

light scratch on body from use...easily removable by polishing..."

I paid $200, nothing about serial numbers and it has gravel rash which I cant pick up due to lighting in my room.

He must of thought I was a ...... or something.

As we all know $200 is about the going rate for these, also he told me it was nickel plated but nickel plated has brass underneath correct? he told me it was nickel plated aluminum. I should have done my research but this was my 1st GGTB as I have wanted one for a long time.

i mean im not whining about it im just very dissapointed. But hoping the master can shine it up for me and ill be on my way.

I hate how it doesn't match the top and bottom nickel plated caps.

i just ordered a bunch of cov stuff for it too..

i get it. yeah, the nickel plated, both matte and shiny, are brass underneath. there's a noticeable heft to them, feels darn good in the hand. i can't tell very clearly whether what you received is an aluminum with either aluminum or nickel plated caps or if it's actually a nickel plated version. looks different from the pics for sure. you can tell though, because one feels really light and carefree in the hand (without batts of course), and one feels like it's got your back.

Mac although as I told you it should clean up nice. The guy who sold you this should give you the option to take it back and give you a full refund. I think that is the right thing to do.
Oh man we actually got into it big time on UKVapers. He said I had to send it back to him first until he would refund it. I told him no. He also cursed at me and we got into a big discussion over the false listing. He said he would pay for polishing though.

No GGTB has a serial on it Mac. I dont really know what happened with your GGTB. Can you please send me a pm with the details of this Greek man that sold you this GGTB?
Man i didn't know that this guy has actually been ripping people off. This thread is not to attack him but to find out if GGTB's were in fact Serial numbered and I know there not, and the guy is Greek which sucks!

Im sorry that you got scummed dude, that's a real pain in the .... I hope you get your money back! I was the member who initially thought that this was a fake, but I've since changed my opinion on the tube. I believe that it's an authentic tube, but the engraving was definitely an after-market modification to the tube. Engraving will polish out, but you're definitely better off getting your money back and just buying a legit polished nickel TB that's in better condition. For $200, you should be getting a TB in excellent (near perfect) condition.

Sorry to hear it didn't come as expected man. :( It's difficult as heck to find some pieces and then to get less than you thought you were getting makes it worse.

I know I was going to begin the hunt for a Rev-1 brass 4-in-1 cap and Rev-1 brass bottom cap for a project I am trying to get rolling. It's hard enough to find good pieces of that vintage but as a Supplier Associate I have to deal in PM's only since we can't use the Classifieds. Seeing your results Mac makes me want to KNOW who I am dealing with on those 2 pieces. ;)

I have no idea why I have become so obsessed with Rev-1 GGTS but I have. Anyway, best of luck on your GGTB restore Mac! As someone else posted in another thread, there are no "fugly" GG's! Just some that need to be worked with to bring out that inner beuty! :)

If the tube is stamped with the number it will be EXTREMELY difficult, if not impossible, to polish out. If the end caps are nickel plated and scratched you'll have to have them re-plated or remove the plating entirely. Bottom line, in my opinion, it's a mess......

I wish I could help, but don't have the time to complete the projects I have started much less try to do add'l ones. I would work out a way to get a refund if it were me. Save the correspondence and see if ECF Mods can help broker something that's agreeable to both you and the seller.

I know how you feel.....I loaned a GGTS w/AVS to a "friend" who ripped me off by selling it. She sends a PM saying to let her know when I want it back and at the same time she's selling it. She's left ECF, but trust me, should she return I have all the documentation and will nail her with her own words.

Best wishes on a fair resolution....and try not to be angry when working it out. The goal is a solution; there's time to be pi$$ed later.

This has happened to you twice if I remember well Para. Its impossible that persons like this exist. Its crazy, unbelieveable! I havent met people like this in my life and I hope I will never meet.
But no worries Para. Stay a nice person and be sure that all people will see it.

Thanks everyone, well Im scared to send this back to the guy bc we got into a heated discussion and Im afraid if I send it back to Greece he will say it never came. And it will become a big paypal mess, I dont want to take any chances. So ill just hang on to it and work with what I have. I already got some cov parts for it too. I have another buddy that will polish it since Para can't atm =)
