GGTB Batteries

So, a friend of mine is using a GGTB and I recommended getting the 4.8v Ni-MH batteries for it, since that's what I used in mine. Well, he ordered some and says they don't fit. Now when I used them they were REALLY snug, but they fit. Not the case for him.

Are there different kinds? Can one of you guys recommend a vendor that sells them? If you don't want to post a vendor name here, a PM would be fine. Thanks for your help!

Anyone? There have to be other people that vape the GGTB at 5v.... One of you guys recommended this to me! I wish I could remember who.... Memory is fading in my old age.

Sorry buddy, I use 17670 batteries in mine. I do have to take the sticker off the battery to get it to fit. With the sticker on it, the battery is to tight to slide in and out.
I have no experience with 5v batteries.

If he has the 1st ss GGTB from earlier this yr thats probably the problem. 1st ss ggtb will only take aw black 17650 with sticker removed. Will also take ONLY the newest batch of efest imr 17650 w/sticker removed and may be a tad tight.

The other two batches ss ggtb tmf and the brass tb - all batts fit fine w/no sticker removal. Chamber was made bigger.

Far as the 4.8 batts, I dont use them.
RTD vapor sells those batts along w/the Efest and AW's that fit the TB. IMO Efest is much better in the TB then the black AW

I use two 3.0v RCR123a's for 6v and they work like a dream.

Yes, I always used all mine at 6v until I got a Gryphon, use3.7 now

Thanks for the tip on the Efest batteries, dspin ....I ordered them after I read your post. They work a lot better than the black AW's. Got 3 of them, now I'm going to order 3 more .

Now that's comforting to hear it from you dspin. I did choose the eFest over the AWs for the first time and i was feeling nervous.

Efest are very good batteries, in some range models they outperforms the AW. 14500-14650-18350, now you tell me 17670, too bad i can't find those here...
