I was going to try and gold plate my caps ... I have some SS Activator that works prior to the gold solution being used.
Worked great on my ProVari.

I am not so sure now though ... if I had gold caps, I would HAVE to have a gold atty for the top.
(I had to plate a Prive tank for my ProV) LOLOL

I kept a Walnut Woodie for myself however.

I find it best to redrill the tubes after finish. Trying to find the original hole under the wood is difficult and high risk

I then re-tap by hand.

Hey Imeo! Any interest in making 10 of these?
If the caps and Dripper could be made from brass, I could then have them gold plated!

Wonder if we have any interest on a third batch?

I was under the assumption the Provari was SS and I know it has been gold plated. I would be hesitant about plating a brass dripper if the plating wore off at the threads I wouldn't much want to vape on it.

BTW you just had to mention plating didn't you. Gold plated caps would look stunning.

All contact parts are Brass. Very good hits.
I use 3.7v on mini GGTB but I also enjoy the Woodie with 16340's and old-school single coil 3.5 ohm

Hi Somo. Thats yours. I recoated, resanded and polished. Its the same caps, that one just has an Ody on it. I'm finishing up the final polish on these and then I try them all one by one to make sure the buttons are properly seated

We're almost done with the second batch. I know you guys are anxious for the Woodies. They are all assembled and tested. Now I am just in the process of of final polish which is all hand done and takes well over an hour per woodie

I finished Somo's yesterday and will be working on the rest throughout the rest of this week

Wife is not happy with the mess I'm making in the living room!

Polished two today, one yesterday but I fitted all the buttons

They're sold on Amazon. The standard mini is too thick with too many tools
I just removed the knife and bottlecap opener

This is the intended purpose. Very tiny tool. I ground the jaws to fit the GGTB knurled lockring, then polished to not scratch the wood

One leg of the folding pliers is marked in MM
Useful for measuring wire. The end is a small screwdriver ground to fit the inner post nut

Wow great pics as always Torque. And nice button tool. I use to use needlenose but they were to imprecise that might be just the trick.
