That's weird Chris. Someone else told me that was their experience as well. However I've not had a single issue with it at all. Not a single mis fire or problem it just works as advertised.

Are you using high drain batteries?

The only time it acts weird is when the battery gets low but that's a design feature. It basically cuts in and out in spurts to let you know the battery is low. Then it stops working completely after a while of doing that when the battery cuts off.

Yea I should also mention that I cleaned this GGTS completely before installing a kick. Including cleaning all the contact points thoroughly with 99 percent alcohol and putting new nolax in all of the threads.

I had an issue with a kick in the Katana but it was a contact issue. I had to sand the contact point on the bottom switch a little and that fixed all of my kick issues in the Katana. It was only half firing on the Katana and it was really annoying. Works good now.

The kick can be used w/ an 18650 without an extra top tube if you use an Oddy w/GGTS base( this may apply to UFS and Iatty also, don't know I have not tried) combined with taking the battery spring out and just using the post. This will max out the extension as far as it will go without showing any threads. If you use the fuse upgrade it has to be taken out, it does not play well with the kick. The kick has protection built in, so no real need for the spring or fuse.

Doh...yep I forgot about the fuse upgrade part.

You are 100 percent correct bacc.vap, it does not play at all with the fuse upgrade. Just flat out doesn't work. I believe blackwater had the same issue with the fuse upgrade and kick. Just didn't work at all.

However with the spring removed and the ody on GGTS base I can only get the 18650 in if the telescope part stil shows two threads. Are you using a flat top by chance? The AW IMR 18650 will still show two threads without the spring. I mean it works, I just didn't care for the threads.

I'm using button top AW's. The difference could be that you are screwing the telescope into the top tube all the way first. I screw the telescope into the top tube just to the point the beginning of the first thread appears and then screw the engraved tube up, it works out perfectly that way, maybe just a little adjustment needed to get it just right, but no threads showing, certainly not two of them.

Yep that's the difference allright. No threads showing now just the start of the threads wich is basically a stainless steel ridge and actually looks quite natural. Out of pure habit I was cranking the top part of the telescope all the way tight first. Funny how habitually doing something can cloud your perception lol.

Thanks.
