I'm thinking about getting an aluminum GGTS from another member.
Are all the parts interchangeable with the SS GGTS parts? Like the tube, button, endcap, etc???

What is a fair price for this unit? I've never really seen one for sale. When were they made?

It does have brass tube, button, etc. Did they come like this? Or were these brass items added after purchase?
Thanks all.

Yes they are interchangeable, I can use any of my SSGGTS parts on my aluminum one. A fair price? I couldn't really tell you now a days. The prices are going higher and higher because of the popularity is rising with GG. I can't really give as much info as I wish I could because I'm fairly new but my all aluminum TMF ggts is all aluminum excluding the button because I feel like that has been replaced with an updated version. I could be wrong and I know someone will come in here and give some veteran information.

Hi.Mal.
Most parts are indeed interchangeable but i would keep each to its own, the earlier models were made 2009/2011 and with the last run before the SS version being Nickle plated.
TMF's came with brass buttons and telescopes as standard and the earlier edition came with brass bottom/telescope button and i think the top 4 in 1 cap as standard the nickle edition was fully nickle plated.
Upgrades were all brass buttons ally tubes and ally bottoms tops etc...

As for price it depends on condition and what serial # is it a pre TMF a TMF or a nickle is it tarnished or kept original and with nice clear engraving.
Prices vary anything around $200 is a very good price but i would expect a nice clean TMF to go for around $250 up and if its an earlier model then $275 + but these are based on nice examples if it has bad tarnishing or needs a fair bit of TLC i would say about $150-$200 is a more realistic price maybe a little less but his would be for a user device rather than a collectible.
I've based these prices on what i've paid and what i see them go for now and expect them to rise a little as time goes by

What is a fair price for this unit? Hard to say - condition and accessories affect the cost, I have 2 flawless ones I'm not sure what to do with, I'm afraid to use them they are so damned pretty!!!!

I've never really seen one for sale. When were they made? Before the nickel, last produced maybe 6-8 months ago

It does have brass tube, button, etc. Did they come like this? Or were these brass items added after purchase? Matters on the version/number, some had aluminum, I personally have five different buttons alone for the GGTSThanks all.

Hope that helps a little bit.......
