I've noticed the the GI2 clone will be available shortly. I wanted to buy the authentic GI2 but like so many other devices in the past, there was no way to get one besides paying a ridiculous price on Ebay. With all of the "100 watt" devices coming out, I'm a bit confused.... According to the specs, the GI2 is rated to put out a maximum voltage of 5.5. and can handle a resistance load down to .4 Ohms. I have a SX350 50 watt mod and it puts out a max 9.5 volts and the Evolv dna 30 is 8.3 volts. Can someone explain how this all works?

All devices have limits on the watts, volts, and ohms. For example the DNA30 is limited to 30 watts so at 8.3 volts you need a 2.3 ohm coil to get 30 watts. Any lower resistance and the DNA will require you to use a lower ohm atty.

With the latest firmware the SX350 will go to 60 watts but when the mod is built it needs heavier wire to go beyond 50 safely.
