Probably the case. Leaking from the top then down the side and appears to be coming out the window.

Like I said I may have made the wick slots too big which is why it leaked.

Too bad, because it was working like a champ.

The interesting this is that I kept the device upright at all times except for when I was vaping, and when I vape, I slant downward. Could be condensation dripping down as well especially if I compromised the seal. You can see some of the condensation on the mouth piece pics above.

Probably need to find a happy medium, but as I keep saying, that happy medium needs to built into the product and not dependent on the user fiddling.

I'm now reading other people are having the leaking issue without modding the product.

Heres one guy who liked them out the box.

YouTube - 2011-03-19 14-09-04.469.wmv

I ordered a couple anyway...I like the concept.

He's a vendor who owns a company that is selling them. I'm sure he bought some stock of them and now he has to move them. I question the honesty of the review.

You may notice the last drag he takes, he doesn't even inhale, just mouths it and spits it out.

looking down your pic of the juice well and coil, it looks like there's a gap for liquid to drip down between the inner plastic tube and the outer case. I don't think the notched ceramic cup would make any difference. They certainly should have put an O ring at that gap. Banging out more product, instead of improvements to known problems. Pretty typical.

that black in the wick under the coil looks like a fluxomizer I had. Even dry burning wouldn't turn the wick white. The taste was nasty like yours with no cure but keep it flooded and hope i didn't notice it...too badly.

I'm thinking there was flux or some other crap on the wick itself right under the coil. I soaked it in white vinegar for about a day, rinsed and dry burned again and it finally burned white. Trouble is it was pretty well crapped out by then with leaks, etc after one a couple refills.

I've had several that were no good out of a box of 5. One had the solder hanging by the wire under the coil. It was never seated at the holes in the cup where it should be. that thing leaked like crazy. TOO many of them leak and juice is lost, or worse, spilled all over you.

I do like the no filler concept, but a atomizer than you can't lay on it's side, wick falls apart, leaks... it's a lot of TROUBLE to keep them going. Hoping they improve them so I can try again. Or something that really works and is convenient comes down the pike.

sorry you go burned. i know that sux.

Ha, the only thing that got burned was my throat before I modded it. Don't be sorry. I try a lot of products to continue to improve my vaping experience. Sometimes they hit, sometimes they miss. This was a miss (out of the box) then a hit (after the mod) then a miss (when it leaked all over the place).

Still cheaper and better for me then a real cigarette!

The thing is, after the mod and before the leaking, it was a really good device. Which is a bummer cause it does show the potential of such a device when executed properly.

Quick question, did you clean the unit? Could it be some sort of primer on the atty?

I'm curious if you cleaned it also. I have opened E2 cartos and forgotten to clean / dry burn them before. 1 out of 3 were Horrible. Burnt marshmellow's taste better. But I have never had an E2 that tastes like that if I clean and dry burn it.

Nope, did not clean it. Again, nothing on the website I bought it from about cleaning it. Nothing included in the packaging about cleaning it.

If the device requires cleaning or dry puffs or anything else to use, it should be noted in the packaging. You can't expect users to just know this.

In reality, it should probably come with a little pamphlet showing you how to fill it. Granted, it's obvious, but my truck came with instructions to not stick your finger in the cigarette lighter hole and not to operate the vehicle with your head sticking out the sunroof, obviously some people will need it :)

Besides, I don't think it was a "cleaning" issue. I think it was a dry atty issue resolved by expanding the wick slots.

Remember, after I did that, the flavor was good. But then it leaked.

Yes, I question the honesty there too. I know if I would have inhaled my first 40 drags or so I would have gagged. I almost did with just the vapor in my mouth. I'm on my third tank with mine and the vape is much better than in the beginning. I haven't modded mine in anyway but I'm still having leaking issues. I have to vape with a paper towell in hand. I've also lost one of my tips already after it fell off about a dozen times.

Here's another review.

Saw this today. He is pretty much saying the same thing I said, although my words were a little more harsh (like the vapor it produced without modding). Basically, it should work out of the box.

My guess is that his flavor is was better out of the box since he direct dripped as a primer, which points to bad wicking without enlarging the wick slots.

Scott's reviews are usually pretty good and in-line what what I see when reviewing an item I've tried.

Another guy I respect is Grimm Green. I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing his take on it as well as he "takes a toot!"

You're running your yap and you don't know what you're talking about. Bruce is a terrific seller and ABSOLUTELY will respond and TAKE CARE of a customer with or without a problem after the sale. Also, you might wanna check his thread and actually read all the help he has given people before assailing a good dude's character.

He might be a nice guy but he wasn't being truthful about the Giantomizer tasting great out of the box. He didn't inhale at all because he would have choked. My first 20 to 40 hits were bad and then it began to get a little better. The second video the guy was a little more truthful but his eyes were still watering from inhaling. I won't be buying anymore but the window and size are great. I hope a different manufacturer gets a hold of that concept.

Bruce is a very nice guy, I did hear him say yesterday that there isnt any comparison to the maptank and the Giant, the Map is better I'm pretty sure he said. I will have my Giants tomorrow and let you know AMG which performs better I have 4 Maps and I'm thinking of jut selling them there a pain in the Azz too as far as I'm concerned, all the top notch bottom feeder Mods with an Atty well out perform any CE2 all day long in my opinion.!! I was very reluctant to buy them since I really don't like the CE2 at all compared to an Atty but I just wanted to try them so I got a box.

I heard that...the feeders are the way to go...I've wasted enough money on CE2 based stuff.

We should probably be leaving names and companies out of the discussion. The thread is not about that, it's about the Giantomizer.

However I will say this, I did have a small business selling e-cigs, but I can't compete with the big boys nor the idiots at the mall selling eGos for $250!!

When I was selling, I would ONLY carry and recommend items that I tried myself and that worked well. I knew that questionable products would discourage users and push them back to analog cigs. Not to mention the countless questions I'd get!

After trying the Giant out of the box, there would be NO WAY I would recommend nor would I carry the product.

There will be vendors out there who are going to carry an item because it's the next hot thing, and not because it works well. You really can't blame them. There will be many users who will read this thread and want to try them for themselves anyway. You can't blame them either.

I read horrible things about the Clearomizers, but I had to try them for myself anyway and hated them. I KNEW the Giantomizer was based on the Clearomizer, and even though I hated it, I again had to try the new device for myself.

What I don't like is the positive video review. That I question.

This is why I'm so hot on the Boge 510 LR cartos. Good flavor, good vapor, and good throat hit. They use all the juice you put in it. They are simple to fill, to top off, they last a lot longer than a cart and they just plain work. Now if they can just make one big enough to get me through the day!

I've told all my friends who use e-cigs to buy these.
About the Giant? I've told them all to stay away.

Can't wait to see what comes next!

Plus there's a BIG difference between a fact and an opinion. I am a CE2 fan (omizer) and after trying carts, dripping, etc I am completely dumbfounded that anyone could possibly prefer a cart! Not a single aspect of vaping was as good with it; taste, convenience, nothing! (To be fair, I did not try the Boge brand.) Yet many people love them. This is ironic since I'm also part of the Banned From China club. I can't stand that company and I am very motivated to find a product I like better... Hasn't happened yet.

Giantomizer on a Provari @ 4.0volts.

I had some wicking issues...vaping AVE's Boba's Bounty.

The silicone was not allowing the wick to get wet.

I took off the silicone and put the silicone ring from a CE2 in place of it.

And replaced the tip that came with it with another tip.

The draw is more airy than a MAP tank.
