Hey y'all got another question. So my girlfriend wants to get into vaping to try and help her quit smoking so I figured I'd get some stuff to get her started. Im ordering for her, through FT cuz they've been my go to source till I get my car fixed, an LPG STYLED 18350 MECHANICAL mod and a SUBTANK Nano STYLED Clearomizer, both in pink because that's her favorite color. I already have some juice for her to go with it. I'm just wondering if I can safely run the Purple EFest 18350 700 mAh 10.5A in the MOD with that tank? I don't want to give her anything that wouldn't be safe. I'm keeping the .5 ohm coil head that comes with it for myself and giving her my 1.5ohm that is currently just sitting in a box because she's not ready for sub ohms yet.

you don't want to give her something unsafe....and you start her off with a hybrid mech?? I've vaped for a while and still am on the fence about mechs...and certainly hybrid mechs.....but ok, to each it's own.

Make sure the 510 of the SBT nano clone is protruding enough!! I can't tell from the picture....but I'm in doubt

10.5A should be enough for the 1.5ohm coil...but still it's an Efest...I wouldn't want those batteries, they are known for relabeling batts. But they should be safe at 1.5ohm (steamengine.com gives only about 3A drain for 1.5ohmn coil)....

But really: why don't you get a regulated box for her to start with? Much safer till she knows the ropes......

If you want to get her something safe, get her a regulated mod. Mech mods, by comparison, are not safe. If you like the subtank nano, then just go ahead and her the subox nano starter kit. It comes with the Kbox nano regulated mod and the subtank nano. Then get her decent batteries like the LG HG2.

Yea I think regulated mod is the safest option. Plenty of protection features for a unexperienced user.

Sorry..you guys are right. Not really sure what I was thinking considering a mech. Wasn't even thinking about the fact that they're unregulated. Haven't really slept good the last few day, saw the pink mod and kinda jumped the gun a little. But that's why I always come here before finalizing anything. Everybody on here is always so helpful and I really appreciate it.

Money's almost always an issue for me but I'm probably just gonna wait on getting the beast box that I want so I can get her a decent one to start with.

The initial investment in vaping was a bit of a turn off for me until I did the math and realized that I was spending around $40 per week smoking cigarettes. For 2 weeks worth of cigarettes I was able to buy a great setup, batteries, and some juice.

it's a decent kit from what I hear, don't have one myself though so can't speak from experience....
Seems there's also quite a bit off rave going on about this new (similar) kit from Innokin:

Reasonable choice for a beginner. Enough quality in design to deliver the type of vape to help a smoker transition. Enough built in safety features to protect the user.
