Got a free gift with our purchase called keoke butter rum coffee, 50/50 blend. Decided to vape on it using a cart on the ego twist. My throat got all goopy and itchy. Then I realized it was no nic. I don't know if that's the cause or what. Any ideas?
I've been using a 12mg 50/50 blend as my all day out of a T3 for the past 3 days and no nasty throat issues.

Maybe you were using a higher wattage with the cart? Higher heat will do that throat thing, especially where the T3 is a smooth vape.
