New member and experimenting vaper here. Love this forum! I've invested in two brands so far after reading and reading whatever I could. Boy, it's not so simple . I had two criteria: vapor volume and customer service. I figured the vapor volume would meet the liking of filling my lungs with smoke. I smoke lights, so ordered the lower (11-14) cartos...
...but I can't seem to make a clean break to to e-cigs. So, reading on here in the forum I think I need the stronger cartos. Now I have orders in for those, so we'll see what happens. I do want to quit analogs and hope my wife will follow. FYI, brands I have are ProSmoke and Vapor 4 Life. My V4L pass-through puts out an awesome amount of vapor and would love to match that in a more portable version. Thanks for reading!

This is my 1st day I can tell you my magma is firmly in my hand and I am probably puffing at a guess 3 times every 10 minutes or so. I'm kinda thinking about an analog but how do I put it? I kinda want to get one and light up but not really... from what I've read on here (awesome people on this forum btw) just vap whenever you want a cig vap till the urge eases then stop till it hits you the next time.

I've been vaping for quite a while now, but i still smoke a few cigs a day. Mornings and after meals get me. My husband and I just got two Old Goat mods today. I'm hoping that now that we both have an e-cig that we will be able to quit altogether very soon. I am also planning to go to a vapers meet tomorrow. I plan on being on the forum more too. I need all the support I can muster. I figure that I am smoking way less than I used to so I'm doing better than I was. Good luck and keep up the good work.

I know for me i somked 2 packs a day foe 22 years. When i first started vaping i just could not quite smoking then i tried new flavors different nic levels. 1 day it just clicked i stopped smoking that day nov 4th 2010 and have not looked back. My wife took a lot longer to quite she has been smoke free for 10 weeks now it just took fining the right combo for her to. Good luck it is well worth it just try differnet things until you get it.

Keep up the great work. Buy some 24 and even 36 (shudder!!) mg carts and keep them handy. Pick up some good cigarette flavors -- V4L makes some fantastic ones. Hit those hard when you feel the need. With that passthrough you should feel satisfied. As for a portable device with that kind of punch, going to have to move to a mod of some sort.

Unfortunately, there's no rule of thumb on nic level. What you smoked won't tell you what you need. How much you smoked won't tell you what you need. You just have to find it.

I'll also add, and I'm not alone in this, I didn't just start vaping and put down the cigarettes. I smoked 3 or 4 a day for a few weeks. I vaped all I wanted in between. After a while I quit enjoying those cigarettes and it was easy to leave them alone.

There are two ways to get TH and they improve each other - nicotine and heat

If you have Vapor4Life batteries and Vapor4Life PT, the PT may be higher voltage or at least more consistent voltage and provide more heat.

If you want more heat out of Vapor4Life prefilled cartos on the go, then you need a higher voltage or variable voltage ecig. If you are filling your own cartos, then you could get a fat battery model like Ego or Riva and either use LR 510 cartos (I recommend Boge - much like the V4L ones inside) or get and adapter and use blank LR KR8 (but you can't use the LR ones on slim batteries)

Also pay attention to how you feel about vaping different flavors. In the beginning some people (like me) need tobacco flavors (which is mostly aroma) to feel satisfied. And remember to let your nose have some vapor. Cigs cover you in smoke - with ecigs you need to make sure your nose gets some vapor.
