I don't want to enter the contest. I am here because I was told by a friend who is in this contest about Innokin's question, asking for suggestions. I spent most of the day writing/composing an email to President Trump, which the email box on the White House contact page will not accept even 1/8th of. Maybe Innokin can find a way to get this to VTA, AVA, or someone who could get the message through.

Before writing this today, I composed a long, detailed email to VTA (actually last week), asking if FDA & CDC could be sued, or have some action taken against them, for Colluding to create the situation we are in now. I got a brief reply from my contact there, an Executive Assistant, who said they were too busy to reply to me now, but she would get back to me later. The information that I got to support this position was obtained by watching a series of YouTube videos by Regulator Watch. This link will take you to their YouTube Video page. If you go there, start watching videos from 4 weeks back. They are all professionally done, in a TV News format (except for the Live ones), and are extremely enlightening.

Moving on, this is what I composed today for President Trump...

Dear President Trump,

I saw you last night at the Trump Rally in Lake Charles, Louisiana, so I am going to phrase some of this to you in your own words. However, I will first address these two supposed vaping issues with some facts that cannot be disputed, as these facts come from the FDA and CDC; the precise 2 entities that started the confusion, and who have been quoted to start the “Fake Media” Hysteria about our legal nicotine e-cigarettes and e-liquids in the first place. Your, sadly, misinformed announcement, in my opinion, on 9/11 (of all days) only added fuel to the “Fake Media” fire. Yet this “Fake Media” story is what is being used by your staff and advisors to influence you to take the “flavor ban” into consideration. Why would they do that to you? Please read on

I am writing to you about the “e-cigarette” and “vaping” “youth vaping epidemic” that was used to justify your “flavor ban,” which has also been tied in with the “e-cigarette” and “vaping” illnesses and deaths to make you think that something had to be done on a Federal level. These two totally separate issues have been compounded into one by the “Fake Media,” and driven on by CDC, to confound and confuse the entire nation (and even other countries!) about the relative safety of “e-cigarettes” and “flavors” in general, including you. Now we have a nation that thinks e-cigarettes are just as bad as, if not worse than, smoking. Even some vapers have returned to smoking over the “Fake Media” Hysteria.

Let’s start with the “youth vaping epidemic.” Did you know that it is not our regular 3mg/ml to 6mg/ml nicotine e-cig flavored e-liquids that the youth are “vaping”? Well, it’s not. The device that is the preferred product of the majority of youth in this nation is Juul. Why Juul?, you may ask. The Juul product that youth are using has a 50mg/ml nicotine salts “Mango” flavor. Why Mango? Because none of the Juul flavors actually taste good. In fact, they are all quite nasty, but Mango is the least offensive of all of them.

If Juul Mango is so nasty, then why are youth using it? For the 50mg/ml nicotine salts, because that gives them a Buzz. I am a 64 year old man vaping a home-made 6mg/ml York Peppermint Patty. Yes, a Candy Flavor for a 64 year old man. Adults like candy flavors, too!!! But My God, 50mg/ml is 8.33 to 16.67 times more nicotine per milliliter, and that much more per puff than our normal 3mg/ml to 6mg/ml nicotine vaping e-liquid products. A Juul 50mg/ml nicotine salts would give ME a good Buzz, too!!! It’s that Lightheaded Buzz that the youth are “vaping” it for, and they are NOT using our 3mg/ml to 6mg/ml nicotine e-liquids, Flavored or Not. You are targeting the wrong product!!!

Juul started out as an E-Cig Vaping Industry product, but Altria Group (formerly Philip Morris Companies), acquired a 35% stake in Juul Labs for $12.8 Billion on December 20, 2018. Juul received a $2 Billion bonus to distribute among its 1,500 employees, and now Juul is a Big Tobacco product. You probably know more about that history since then, but now Philip Morris International Inc. and Altria have said they will focus on the tobacco-heating product iQOS in the United States. So get ready for another “youth epidemic.” But before another knee-jerk reaction against vaping in general, please find out what the issue is first.

So there is your “youth vaping epidemic.” It has nothing to do with “Vaping Industry” e-cigarettes and/or vaping. It’s a Big Tobacco product. Even CDC has admitted that youth smoking has dropped, and so has youth vaping, recently. And there is no gateway or uptake issue. Kids or Youth will not move on to smoking from vaping because smoking tastes so nasty and disgusting. Not even Juul Mango tastes that bad!

Moving on to the FDA and CDC with their handling (or mishandling) of the “e-cigarette” and/or “vaping” illnesses and deaths.

By this time, some of the American public, and the majority of the Vaping Community, know all too well that the lung illnesses and deaths were due to Illicit, Bootleg Cannabis (THC) Cartridges that had a THC product in the cartridges which was cut (thinned out) too much with Vitamin E Acetate, instead of whatever the Legal E-Cannabis Industry uses, and that this Vitamin E Acetate was what turned into a grease after inhalation and this is what lined the lungs of these people and made them sick or killed them. So why did this all happen so quickly? Because the THC product was thinned with Vitamin E Acetate, because it was cheaper to use than what E-Cannabis uses, and thinned out too much to increase the profit margin. So the concentration of THC was not what people were used to, so they hit it harder and more often, trying to get the same High. FDA has pretty much said this, though maybe not explicitly, but CDC has still not said as much clearly, and continues to hold the “e-cigarette, or vaping, products” industry suspect.

However, there has not been a single documented medical (or otherwise) case or issue related to the Vaping Industry e-liquid products, whether FDA-Regulated or not (before that started), in 10+ years, (not counting Popcorn Lung, which did not actually exist) and youth today are using/vaping a Big Tobacco product, so you have to admit that something has changed, and it started as early as March 31, this year, according to a CDC graphic chart (I have a link to that coming up for you shortly).

E-Cigarettes are, by definition, as defined by the Vaping Community years ago:
  • Electronic cigarettes, or e-cigarettes, are also called vapes, vape pens, tank systems, mods, and Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS).
  • Using an e-cigarette product is commonly called Vaping. (We coined the words Vape, Vaping, and Vaper long ago.)
  • E-cigarettes work by heating an e-liquid to produce a water vapor that users inhale into their lungs.
  • The e-liquid can contain: Propylene Glycol (PG), Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Nicotine, and, now, FDA-Approved Flavorings.
As defined by CDC: in their October 11, 2019 release titled “Outbreak of Lung Injury Associated with E-Cigarette Use, or Vaping”, which can be found here - https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/basic_information/e-cigarettes/severe-lung-disease.html

Key Facts about E-Cigarette Use, or Vaping
  • Electronic cigarettes – or e-cigarettes — are also called vapes, e-hookahs, vape pens, tank systems, mods, and Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS).
  • Using an e-cigarette product is commonly called vaping.
  • E-cigarettes work by heating a liquid to produce an aerosol that users inhale into their lungs.

Yet the CDC adds this next line to compound and confuse the issue (just as they have since 2009)
  • The liquid can contain: nicotine, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabinoid (CBD) oils, and other substances and additives. THC is the psychoactive mind-altering compound of marijuana that produces the “high”.

Why is CDC insisting on holding Vaping In General hostage?

Yes, other industries are making products that atomize or vaporize a substance or compound, like Vitamin B12 or other vitamins, or any of the multitude of herbal liquid products, like Echinacea, etc., and including liquid THC and CBD derived from Cannabis, but using the word Vaping to describe the use of these other products is taking a word from the FDA-Regulated Nicotine E-Cigarette World and placing it Indiscreetly in another very different world of products, and doing so without ever asking. So now the word Vaping has a Stigma attached to it.

Some of the people who have been interviewed by CDC and other health organizations as a result of the lung illnesses have been using the word “vaping” to describe the use of Illicit, Bootleg Cannabis (THC) Cartridges, so FDA and especially CDC have been using the word Vaping as well. But when the “Fake Media” does this, too, it becomes a National Issue and Concern about Vaping In General, with the CDC doing this on purpose, and that’s where we are now and you have compounded the issue since 9/11, by making it a National Indictment.

The only actual piece of our standard Vape Gear that the herbal and other products above are using is an electronically-controlled, battery-powered device that sends an electrical current to a vaporizer or atomizer, depending on the product. However, the distinction is in the Atomizer itself. Regular Nicotine E-Cig Atomizers (Tanks, RDAs, RTAs, etc.,) cannot be used for any Marijuana-Cannabis-THC-CBD liquid product, and a Marijuana-Cannabis-THC-CBD Atomizer cannot be used with an E-Cigarette Nicotine E-Liquid. Bet you did not know this.

Each of the various liquid products made to be atomized, all have an Atomizer that is designed and manufactured specifically for that liquid product. Dry Herb Echinacea and Marijuana have a Vaporizer and heater element designed and manufactured specifically for dry herbs, if not for each individual dry herb. Cannabis liquid has its own kind of Atomizer, and our Nicotine e-liquid has its own kind of Atomizer. The material that absorbs the nicotine e-liquid (cotton in our case) and the heater coil wrapped around it are different than one made for a Cannabis liquid or oil. Plus, Cannabis is vaporized at around 7 Watts. Any more than this and the heater coil burns it. Even 1 Watt more can make it taste bad, if not ruin the atomizer completely by burning the medium. I know because I have friends that use it.

We vape our nicotine e-liquids (not the nicotine salts) at a higher Wattage. Some only use 15-20 Watts to simulate smoking a cigarette (called mouth to lung or MTL vaping), while others use well over 100 Watts for Cloud Chasing vaping (called direct to lung or DTL vaping). Cannabis liquids and our Nicotine e-liquids have different viscosities, particle sizes, and absorption rates, requiring a different medium and heater element for each. The point is, these kids, youth, and folks with the lung illness are using a different kind of atomizer for cannabis (THC), but they have adopted the word Vaping from us.

However, the 2 are definitely not the same thing, and the way that CDC is confusing the two is Criminal.

According to a CDC Graphic posted on 10-11-2019, which can be seen in the link above, toward the bottom, titled “Dates of symptom onset and hospital admission for patients with lung injury associated with e-cigarette use, or vaping - United States, March 31-October 5, 2019”, CDC has been studying these “vaping” lung illnesses and/or deaths since March 31, 2019.

How incompetent must they be to not have found a single substance or compound to report as something to watch for and avoid? There’s nothing absolute to warn the American public about?

In that same notice, CDC says:

What we know
  • As of October 8, 2019, 1,299* lung injury cases associated with the use of e-cigarette, or vaping, products have been reported to CDC from 49 states, the District of Columbia, and 1 U.S. territory.
  • Twenty-six deaths have been confirmed in 21 states.
  • All patients have reported a history of using e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
  • Most patients report a history of using tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-containing products. The latest national and state findings suggest products containing THC, particularly those obtained off the street or from other informal sources (e.g. friends, family members, illicit dealers), are linked to most of the cases and play a major role in the outbreak.
  • Therefore, CDC recommends that you should not use e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain THC.
  • Exclusive use of nicotine containing products has been reported by some patients with lung injury cases, and many patients with lung injury report combined use of THC- and nicotine-containing products. Therefore, the possibility that nicotine-containing products play a role in this outbreak cannot be excluded.
  • At present, CDC continues to recommend that people consider refraining from using e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain nicotine.
What we don't know
  • At this time, FDA and CDC have not identified the cause or causes of the lung injuries in these cases, and the only commonality among all cases is that patients report the use of e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
  • This outbreak might have more than one cause, and many different substances and product sources are still under investigation. The specific chemical exposure(s) causing lung injuries associated with e-cigarette product use, or vaping, remains unknown at this time.
What CDC recommends
  • CDC recommends that people:
    • Should not use e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain THC.
    • Should not buy any type of e-cigarette, or vaping, products, particularly those containing THC, off the street.
    • Should not modify or add any substances to e-cigarette, or vaping, products that are not intended by the manufacturer, including products purchased through retail establishments.
  • At present, CDC continues to recommend that people consider refraining from using e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain nicotine.
  • If you are an adult using e-cigarette, or vaping, products to quit cigarette smoking, do not return to smoking cigarettes. Use evidence-based treatments, including healthcare provider counseling and FDA approved medicationspdf iconexternal icon.
  • If you have recently used an e-cigarette or vaping product, see a healthcare provider immediately if you develop symptoms like those reported in this outbreak.
  • Regardless of the ongoing investigation:
    • E-cigarette, or vaping, products should never be used by youths, young adults, or women who are pregnant.
    • Adults who do not currently use tobacco products should not start using e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
    • THC use has been associated with a wide range of health effects, particularly with prolonged heavy use. The best way to avoid potentially harmful effects is to not use THC, including through e-cigarette, or vaping, products. Persons with marijuana use disorder should seek evidence-based treatment by a health care provider.
    • There is no safe tobacco product, and the use of any tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, carries a risk.
    • CDC will continue to update guidance, as appropriate, as new data emerges from this complex outbreak.

Really? It’s either “How Incompetent are you if you have not found something to report since March 31?” or “Why are you Withholding Vital Information?” and “Why do you continue to use the words ‘e-cigarette, or vaping, products’ which describe a completely different type of vaping?”

Under “What we know,” they say:
  1. Most patients report a history of using tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-containing products. The latest national and state findings suggest products containing THC, particularly those obtained off the street or from other informal sources (e.g. friends, family members, illicit dealers), are linked to most of the cases and play a major role in the outbreak.
  2. Therefore, CDC recommends that you should not use e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain THC.
Then under “What we don’t know,” they say:
  1. At this time, FDA and CDC have not identified the cause or causes of the lung injuries in these cases, and the only commonality among all cases is that patients report the use of e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
  2. This outbreak might have more than one cause, and many different substances and product sources are still under investigation. The specific chemical exposure(s) causing lung injuries associated with e-cigarette product use, or vaping, remains unknown at this time.
And then under “What CDC recommends,” they say:
  1. CDC recommends that people:
    • Should not buy any type of e-cigarette, or vaping, products,…
    • Should not modify or add any substances to e-cigarette, or vaping, products that are not intended by the manufacturer, including products purchased through retail establishments.
  2. At present, CDC continues to recommend that people consider refraining from using e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain nicotine.
You had better believe that if CDC had found anything at all that could be used, even remotely, against our normal e-cigarette devices and/or nicotine e-liquids, they would have blown it all out of proportion by now, and made sure that the “Fake Media” would broadcast it multiple times per day. But they cannot find anything at all to use against us to further demonize vaping, so they keep harping about “e-cigarette, or vaping, products” in general, hammering it home every opportunity they get, in a vailed message about maybe a slight, if any, possibility of a risk that “e-cigarette, or vaping, products” might play some possible role in their bundle of lies and chaos-creating deception and misinformation.

It is abundantly clear that CDC does not want to actually know (or does not want have to tell us) what the actual cause of the lung illnesses and deaths is, because they did not require the medical community to take blood samples and test for the cause(s), so they could not look for the substances and/or compounds to report them, if found, but instead they were only advised to ask for and rely on what the individuals were willing to report; self-reporting. Many of these people are only kids, and even the youth would not want their parents, schools, or the authorities, to know that they were using THC products of any kind, much less illicit THC, so of course, they did not confess it.

This is what is being used to justify the dangling of “e-cigarette, or vaping, products” in the wind, and “e-cigarette, or vaping, products” will be kept this way for as long as CDC can string it out, by being as vague and illusive as possible. If you want to say, Well, they mentioned THC, OK, they mentioned it, marginally, but look at the title of the notice!!! Look at how long it took to even mention it within that notice. Look how they worded it.

Study it for yourself, if you don’t believe me. Read all of the CDC “lung illness” reports and public statements, and see for yourself what they have and have not required of the medical community. Or go to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1oVxQf3SyK3YC9_n1e1Jwg/videos?disable_polymer=1 to watch the Regulator Watch video coverage of this issue. Go back to 4 weeks ago to start watching.

Moving on the your “Flavor Ban” and what it will not accomplish, but what it WILL do...

What it won’t do is keep anyone, especially youth, from finding vape gear, atomizers, or e-liquids, and especially their beloved Juul, which will still be on the shelves and in the market, Mango flavor or not. Bans and Prohibitions don’t work. They never have, they won’t now, and they never will.

What it WILL do is:
  • Keep anyone, especially youth, from finding safe vape gear, safe atomizers, and safe e-liquids that are designed and manufactured under FDA Guidance, even if they have not passed PMTA.
  • Create a Black Market that could be making nicotine e-liquids that are just as deadly as the Illicit, Bootleg THC Cartridges that caused the lung illnesses and deaths.
  • Cause the almost 14,000 American vapor business owners across the USA to close their doors, and their more than 87,000 American vapor workers would lose their jobs.
  • A ban on flavored vapor products will devastate more than 11,000 small businesses nationwide and result in tens of thousands of people laid off.
  • Cause more than 87,000 American Vapor Shop workers to become unemployed.
  • Give the 13 Million current responsible adult Vaping Americans no other alternative than to go back to smoking.
  • Prevent all current smokers from having the proven 95% safer alternative in e-cigs to turn to, or at least consider.

The vapor industry has a total economic impact of $24 Billion on the U.S. economy – all of which is hanging in the balance as you consider this action which will wipe that out. That’s a lot or revenue for a Republican President to sacrifice over a proposed situation that is not even real... does not even exist.

Are you really willing to put an end to the “American Dream” of this many vape shop owners?

How "Constitutional" is it for you to sign away the rights Millions of Americans who smoke or currently use e-cigs? This seems very Unconstitutional to me!!!

A Presidential National Flavor Ban sounds very much like the "Government Bureaucracy" that you spoke out against yesterday at the Trump Rally!!!

I know that you probably will not take my word for everything said here, but please take the time to research all of it, get the actual facts, and then decide for yourself.

If you’d care to speak with someone in an official position about this, you could always contact Greg Conley of American Vaping Association (AVA) at https://vaping.org/.

24/7 Media Response Line: (609) 947-8059
Email: board@vaping.org
or
Email for AVA President Gregory Conley: gconley@vaping.org.

Your “Advisors” are misleading you into taking something of a Radical Left Wing approach to Mandate something that FDA is already in control of. The Left Wing controlled “Fake Media” is already bad enough. Please do not continue to feed their already well-oiled machine. Once you have researched this for yourself, without relying on your Pages, Assistants, Staff, or Advisors, please consider making a Nationally Televised Address to the Nation to tell the whole world about your new understand of, and your new position on, E-Cigarettes and Vaping.

Please demand that FDA and CDC tell us, and you, everything they already know about the lung illnesses and deaths, including whatever amount of actual evidence they may have against “e-cigarettes, or vaping, products”, if any, and tell them to stop holding up “e-cigarette, or vaping, products” to dangle in the wind. These 2 entities are supposed to be there for our good health, not to harm it by sending us back to cigarettes.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this matter.

Yours truly,

Signed by me
