Ok, so here is my short story. A couple years ago I got a 7-11 disposable and that "worked" for about a day, but by the end I got a pack and that was that. Then a month or so later after some research I bought an ego starter kit and LOVED it and stayed of the nasties for about 6 months then stuff started breaking down and it was just cheaper and easier to go back to smoking. Then about a year later I decided to give it another go and talked my mother in law in to getting an ego kit with me and we made it about 3 months this time, I just couldn't get things to work for more then a day or so and got frustrated and gave up again.

So here we are today. At the beginning of this year I went to the local b&m and got a itazte vv and a Iclear30s. I was told that the coils last for about a month which I found hard to believe in the first place. They are 2.1 Ohm but by the end of the week when I check them on the itazte it says it is over 3 Ohms and everything taste burnt and nasty. I tried rinsing them out and soaking them in hot water but it doesn't seem to help. I have no problem with them lasting only a week and replacing them, I guess my question is, are they shot or can there still be some life in them?

Try soaking them and dry burning them to get the gunk off. You get them wet with water then attach just the coil unit into your itaste, then fire it off and on while looking inside the coil unit to make sure it isnt burning. It is a little tricky with these units as it is hard to see the coil. After that soak or rinse them then see if that helps.

Good Luck! :toast:

The life expectancy of any clearomizer coil will depend upon the e-liquids you use and how heavy of a vaper you are. Darker juices and liquids heavier in Vg ratio will shorten the life expectancy. In my experience with clear juices, I can get up to a month's use with a single coil, less with darker flavors.

Consider that you'll be spending $3 for a replacement coil that will last at least 2 weeks, compared up to $6 a day for cigarettes, and you're ahead of the game by not returning to smoking.

BTW, nice setup with the iTaste V3 and iClear 30.

If you clean them more regularly, say every 3 days then stuff cant build up as much and they are easier to get the gunk off the coils with a dry burn. Only takes 5 minutes to clean and get it back together once you know how to do it. Ive had the same iclear30 for 4 weeks and it works the same as when I took it out of the box. Use the video above for cleaning, it works great, thats the video I watched when I started cleaning mine. Good luck
