Glass Bottles Labels

I have a bunch of empty glass amber bottles that I would like to clean and remove the labels to store my juice that comes in plastic bottles. What would be the best way to remove the labels to get all the goo off?

Pick up a bottle of Goo-B-Gone or you you can use bug and tar remover available in the auto parts section of Target or Walmart.

You should be able to just soak them in hot soapy water for about 30 minutes then wash them with the scatchy side of a sponge. (May not work so well with coated labels, but I dont see those that often.)

Soaking in Vinegar works well for Most labels on Glass.

Ammonia in the hot water soak works very well but most people can't stand the smell.

i usually soak the bottle/jar in warm water to remove the paper and then i remove the adhesive with alcohol. it seems to work for most label adhesives.

I use lighter fluid on a paper towel, then I wash bottles and caps.
