I'm using an 808 kit w/ clearomizers and I'm happy with the kit and how it performs, but I'd like to get a glass tank to use for those times when I have a juice that might be a tank cracker. I read that certain flavors like cinammon type flavors, might be tank crackers, and I don't want to go breaking any of the clearomizers that I have, if it can be avoided. I have a whole bunch of juice samplers on the way, in all sorts of flavors.

I've researched a bit and it seems that there are no glass tanks that exist for 808d threads.

I tried some metal cartomizers that I ordered, but I'm not liking those at all. They seem to be weak, and I find the clearomizers that I use to be far superior, better hits and better taste.

So, I guess that the easiest way for me to achieve my goal is to simply buy an 808d to 510 adapter/converter, which is pretty cheap, and then I can just buy any 510 glass tank that I want. Does this sound like a decent plan?

If this plan sounds good, does anybody have any recommendation for a decent, disposable glass tank for 510?

Better yet move up to an ego class and save the 808 for stealthing. Even with an adaptor the tank will end up 5 times as heavy and almost as long and the performance will be horrible. I dont think ive ever heard of a disposable glass tank. They usually have replaceable coils once they wear out.

You're right that it would probably look akward with a 510 tank on a skinny 808 battery, but that method is the cheapest for me to test out, since I just need to get a 510 glass tank and the 808 to 510 adapter. I could always get the 510/ego battery afterwards, if I feel that it's not working out.

Besides it looking akward, I'm just curious as to why you said that the performance would be horrible?

Is there any difference between an 808 battery and an ego battery (besides total capacity) if they both ran at the same spec (4.2 volts for example)?

The small batteries just wouldnt have the overallpower to run a larger coil effectively. It will work but i think you would get the wrong impression of the tank struggling on a little battery with no real power. It will def run down faster then the little tanks you use now i believe.

Even though a 1.8ohm coi! Is 1.8 ohm coil the tank will use heaver wire since they are made to run at a higher volume output

The ego battery itself will be able to hold the voltage better (especially a Variable voltage model which stays where you set it)

Think of it this way - youll be trying to run a Dcell flashlight on AAA batteries they both have the same voltage but the d has more power or push to hold that voltage steady

That makes sense to me.

I'm probably just going to go ahead and order a 510 glass tank and the adapter, with the expectation that it wont perform great, and if that's the case, I'll just buy a 510/ego battery also.

Thanks for the help.

I use a glass tank on some old BLU batteries I rediscovered in a vape drawer. Works just fine...

The ego battery will push more current into the clearomizer than the 808 stick battery will. Get an EGO battery and an 510 to 808 adapter to keep using your 808 stuff on it. Get a starter kit cheap here Express Kits : iVape eVod 650mAh Express V4 - Black
14.95 gets you a 4 step VV ego 650 ma battery, charger and an evod tank which I think is glass. Then get an adapter for male 510 to male 808 to use your 808 clearomizers on the ego style battery too.
You will like it, I did :)

That kit seems pretty reasonably priced.

I'm just curious as to why you use your 808 clearomizer on the ego battery?

Do you like the 808 clearomizers better than ego tanks that you can get?

Don't the ego tanks hold a lot more juice, so that you have to refill less often?

My largest 808 clearomizer tank holds 1.3 ml juice. I haven't come across any 808 tank that holds more than that.

OI use the esmart clearo for 808 and the T4 808D clearos. Both are nice. I am just moving into the larger tanks, want to have ones I can rebuild the coil on and a bottom coil. The evod tanks fill the bill on that.
I started out with 808 stick batteries. I got some 808 threaded ego style batteries cheap and liked them for their life span vs the little batteries. I also got a couple of VV ego style batteries with some adapters for KR808. I have been using my cartos and clearos on them.

I gave all my little batteries away to 2 people I have recently converted to vaping from smoking so now I only have the big batteries but still use my 808 stuff on them.
Just got my wicking material and Kanthal wire so ready to go on rebuilding the evod heads.

I will keep using the esmart and T4's for compact pocket vaping.

I see what you mean.

I also have those same 808 clearomizers that you use. I recently ordered both the emsart and the T4 to test them out. I haven't gotten around to trying out the esmart one yet, but I've began using one of the T4s, and that one is working fine. I also have some fusion clear max clearomizers, so that's 3 different kinds of clearomizers that I have so far for 808.

The emsart clearomizer that I have has really long wicks. Both the T4 and the fusion clear max have 2 short wicks.

The Esmarts I get have 1.8 ohm coils and short wick. I get them for $1.49 at analog alternatives.

I just checked that place, and I found them, but in the description it says "2.2 ohms".

I'm sure that 2.2 ohms is fine too, but is there a different model that you meant that was 1.8 ohms?

They say 2.2 ohms but I seem to get 1.8 when I order the 2.2. but for that price no complaints.
The boxes I get are even marked 1.8.
I have bought 3 batches and always got 1.8 ohms.

I have given away 5 or 6 of them and in the 2.5 months I have been using them I only had to trash 1 so far. Still hae 15 in the box at this point and keep different flavors in 5 or 6 of them.

I can get like 20 some of them for less than I used to pay for a carton of cigs.
