Me too Tigg... I only do this trek once or twice a year. I have a feeling my mom will call and wake me early in the morning though. She called while I was gone in a dither about not being able to fax. I know I set up her printer to send fax... and I showed her how to do it but will just go do it for her tomorrow. Sometimes it is difficult for me to think of her as being 80 so I will try to remember that before I wrap my hands around her neck :D :D

#4. I'm always amazed when my mom does stuff on the Internet.
For
Years she could not load a camera with a drop in film roll... 110

My mom loves gadgets... she was one of the first to have a Vic 20 way back when. She has a home theatre system with surround sound and thinks vaping is great... got pops started with the 808 batteries and carts and ended up having to get her some too even though she does 0 nic. She just gets flustered so quickly any more though and over tiny things. Not sure if it is age or what is going on with her but hoping the warmer weather where she can finally get out and do stuff will help since she wasn't like this last fall.

Good night all.

Okay, I'm going to try to get a few posts in. I can't believe that there are so many posts--I'm never going to get caught up this week on the reading that I've missed!

Today is my first day back on ECF since Saturday. . . I've never been away for quite so long! I know I've got a few PMs awaiting responses--bear with me if you're waiting to hear from me!

I hope everyone is well!

AND - BTW: I did a lot of research looking for a Crossover (Really Need One given a number of reasons - Just cannot afford even a decent used one around here) before I got the vehicle I have now . . . The better ones out there are the "Honda CRV" & "Toyota RAV4" (Size, Gas usage, and repairs) and then there is the "Nissan Xterra" (Another favorite) and also a "Juke" or "Rogue" (Really like these - LOOKS GREAT) . . . Finally is the "Subaru Forester."

I will try to remember that before I wrap my hands around her neck :D :D

I learned how to give "My" Mother - THE LOOK ! ! !

SO DITTO ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ AND - I Finally realized it was a combination of losing her physical "abilities" due to age and also "Mental" (very short tempered over the most minor of things) due to all the Medications she had to take, especially for Diabetes and Heart ailments . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;) Oh and That's when - THE LOOK Really Helps . . . :D

I know I've got a few PMs awaiting responses--bear with me if you're waiting to hear from me!

"Me" too (and now that I am back at a real computer I can) . . .

Thanks Uncle and artv61. I'm glad you made it back, too, Uncle.

I actually returned to San Juan very late on Monday night. I had to teach all day yesterday, and by the time I got home I was completely dragging. In fact, I feel asleep on the couch for several hours, and then just went to bed. This morning I woke up with a cough--I hate that I seem to get sick every damn time I get on a plane!

Tried catching up with ECF stuff earlier today, but the site was down every time I tried. I'm hoping this will be the last of the repairs and I hope it works.

I started my diet yesterday. I had planned to start right after my birthday, but knew that it would be pointless since I had a trip planned. I've gained a huge amount of weight since I quit smoking and started vaping, and it's finally reached a point where I'm so physically/psychologically uncomfortable in my own skin that it's time to just get it done. I'm a big fan of low carb/moderate fat/moderate protein diet. . . it not only works for me, but I don't feel like I'm suffering AND I always feel better. Well, that comes after about a week. The first several days are always tough. . . and I already feel like a giant, cranky .... . .

Good to "see" everyone. I'll be back more tomorrow!
