Edouard Manet did not paint many nature scenes, but I love this one entitled "The Bench" aka "My Garden."

4: And what if they don't have a phone or camera to do so? or that good of a yard or neighborhood? Just my 2 cents. View attachment 339162

I'm not going to count this as my fifth post. My answer is this: Great Point! I didn't really think that one through. So let's make my last point moot.

most of my pixs you can tell which are mine and older and what others are from the web. Most are old cause my 12 year old camera died and I don't have a smart phone but an old dumb phone without a camera..
And no yard is bad, if you take care of it. I have many little different worlds on my property. a Gnome world, a turtle world, my small pond with feeder fish that are now about 6 to 12 inches long. , My little niknaks I found buried in the forest and thrown away. It's all on how you want it and if you have to, you protect it.

Yes, an older mind is a dangerous thing to have, it's full of imagination of what could be, has been and will be.

4. Watching John Wayne today. I love his movies!

The sad fact is most the youngersters and I mean under 40s don't even know who he was and what he stood for...

A sad fact that some so called celebs are worshiped while Icons of old are unknown.

I guess a fact that America has changed too much and not really for the good,

Spoken like an older man who remembers what we were like. sheesh, I am an older gentleman. Drat...

Truly boring post follows. . .

I've had a very low key day, and I've accomplished very little.

I have killed a lot of ants. For some reason, starting yesterday, I have an invasion of teeny tiny ants in my kitchen. This always annoys me to no end because I keep my kitchen exceptionally clean. I keep repeating to myself: "Bugs are everywhere in the tropics. Bugs are everywhere in the tropics." It's just kind of disturbing to wipe everything down, leave the kitchen, and then come back five minutes later and there are hundreds of ants again.

I tried one natural remedy--sprinkling ground cinnamon along their trail--but that didn't work. Now I'm going to pick up some borax and poison them for good. I also need to pick up some caulk--they're coming in where there are some cracks in the tile grouting.
