Dave, does the power company in your area check for touching tree limbs? San Diego Gas & Electric failed to do this about ten years back and the results were two wildfires that nearly burned the entire city to the ground. The company was sued for damages... and then SDG&E attempted to raise rates on power customers to compensate for the loss incurred. Greedy B......s!

4. I knew those were coming...had my helmet on for protection! LOL! :D

Ah, the glamorous life of a paralegal...today's top duty...find my boss a new cell phone...a couple of weeks ago, it was getting her concert tickets on presale...I have watched her dogs here in the office, cleaned out her nasty refrigerator when she moved and it was left with no power for a week (full of food too...at least she paid me very nicely for that), babysat her grandson in the office while she met with clients, the list could go on and on. And you guys thought it was all preparing legal papers and research...ha! I'll tell ya though, I'd much rather babysit or puppysit than have to deal with some of these clients some days. :p

#5 - Geez...it's crazy that you have to do all that stuff for your boss, angelphyre! You shouldn't have to do that kind of stuff! That's not in a paralegal's job description! I hope you get some rest this weekend!

Yes, NYSG&E came through in March identifying trees to remove this summer. They tagged my shaggy nut tree to be cut down. Today's tree was marked. Note, it was just touching the line, and somehow became conductive to ground with the rain.

The "after" pic, all gone...

5. Eh, I don't really mind doing those things for her...in exchange, I get free legal services (and with my kids, I need that ), lots of bonuses, only work 4 days a week, and most of the time I'm left to my own devices around here. So it's really not bad. I just think it's funny some of the things she has me do sometimes.

Hope you get a restful weekend too...working in the heat like you are has to wear you out I know.
