Good Luck! Have you tried sleepy time tea for her? ;)

Mrstrout it's in Akron.
Robin USPS says mine will be delivered Friday!
Mine doesn't say yet, but it's being shipped UPS Ground. That means 5-7 business days from the actual ship date and UPS sticks to that, even when it's in the same area! So, still before T-day. ;)

3. Ugh! I am so irritated right now! My son just called to tell me that they are changing his health insurance at the beginning of the year...right now he has really good insurance that covers his prescriptions with just a copay (he's diabetic so he has to have good prescription coverage!) and his Dr's visits and all, but they are changing it to where he'll still have to pay $200 month just to have insurance that doesn't cover anything at all until the deductible is paid, and that is almost $7000! Not even prescriptions or doctor visits...oh wait, he has to pay a copay to go, plus his monthly amount and then whatever tests the doctor orders he has to pay out of pocket...what the heck is the point of even having insurance if it doesn't cover anything!!!! :-x

They are doing to this to try to get all their employees to opt out so they'll be off the hook! They sent out a letter with it giving them all kinds of scenarios and how it's going to cost them sooooo much more to opt in for health insurance than to do without...this is just ridiculous! I told my son to tell them that isn't insurance and that no he doesn't want it...even with paying the dang penalty on his taxes, he'll come out cheaper just going without since he's going to have to pay everything out of pocket anyway...why pay $200 month just for that privilege! UGH!!!!:grr:

Ok, sorry for the rant...just needed to get that off my chest! Back to your regularly scheduled programming...nothing to see here!

Trying to do some catch up here before diving into work. Headquarters did some big changes to a website I deal with so now I have to make massive changes to my stuff so my users can submit proper requests - would be much easier if they gave us advance notice on these things instead of just throwing it up in the middle of the night.

Angel I feel your pain. Before I lost my job I had @ $700 a month came out of my pay to pay for the insurance then I had to pay a $5000 deductible, then 20% of all the bills from doctors, tests and hospitals. The only good thing was prescriptions were anywhere from $15 to $60. It was still a deal for me because 2 of Wifey's prescriptions are over $1100 each if I had to pay out of my pocket. With my income now just being my small unemployment my state sponsored insurance pays everything! Come to think about it maybe I shouldn't go back to work! LOL! Just kidding I gotta go back to work!

After such a promising start, a sinus headache took me down for the morning. A little food, some aspirin, a decongestant, and a judicious dose of caffeine have brought me back--sort of. Two things I have going for me are some incoming vapemail (not to rain on anyone's parade, but I have an iStick coming: I used a gift certificate that I won in another contest over the weekend to subsidize it to a little over $20--not as good of a deal as some of you managed to swing, but still not bad) and another restaurant fundraiser for my kids' school--yes, alcohol counts toward the total (yay! drink for the children!).

I didn’t have health insurance for about 10 years, after graduating college. Once I had insurance, I was spoiled by great PPO coverage. Now, I have Kaiser HMO. Not my choice. That’s all my employer offers.

It suppose it’s better than having nothing at all, but the co-pays are exurbanite and the requirement to get a referral to see a specialist is a pain in the :censored: So, I have to pay to see my Primary Care Physician to get a referral and then pay the specialist. What a racket!
