Hey Jay called this number and the guy that picked up said I had a wrong number? Checked it twice but I could be crazy / dyslexic(sp?) today. Thanks, Chief

Ok so I ordered a set of 2 AW IMR16340 3.7v 550mAh High Drain batteries from Isaac to be able to try them in my GLV2 when it arrives. They came in the mail today and are all charged and set to go. :thumb:

Ordered a couple of 3 ohm cartos too so I can give them a try at 5v. Haven't used a single carto since switching to dripping but figure I'll give them a chance at the higher voltage and see what happens.

Thyes....I've never tried cartos at all....Just dripping since I started vaping! Really looking forward to getting mine and hoping 5v will provide a decent throat hit with them! I will have to check Isaac's site out on those AW's!

IMHO 3.2-3.3ohm cartos suck... even at 5v... granted at 5v they are better than at 3.7v but none the less.. they just dont do it for me.

I have ordered ONE of the new Mega Cartos ... supposedly eGo only and it appears ill have to take the dremel to it when i get it.. but point is.. these new cartos hold 2.5ml of juice and more importantly are at 2.65ohm.. which i really really like a standard 2.5ohm atty at 5v. so im thinking 2.65ohm carto will be the bee's knees.

Hu,
I dont think you can beat a good atty over a carto any day.. IMO

Yeah Isaac has good prices on the batteries and I figured, since Jay doesn't have extras in stock atm, that I'd rather buy from Isaac than one of the many battery sites out there. I actually started with cartos, went to carts, then made the switch to dripping and haven't looked back since.

I don't really expect a lot from them since I prefer dripping on a bridgeless wickless atty when vaping at 3.7v. When I first started I used cartomizers and they were okay and did the trick to get me to switch from cigs to e-cigs. But then when I made the switch to carts for a couple weeks and then tried going back to cartos they just tasted absolutely horrendous even when refilled with the exact same liquids I was using in the carts. I decided then there was no way I was going to waste more money trying to go back to cartomizers. And then with making the switch to dripping and then dripping with no bridge or wick I just don't think that cartomizers could ever taste as good. But since some people say cartomizers on 5 or 6v taste better than at 3.7v I figured it's worth 3 or 4 bucks to give them a chance at least.

But I have a whole bunch of Joye510 attys sitting here not being used since switching to LR attys so I mainly plan on using those on my GLV2.

I actually do not yet own any 5v or 6v devices $hua so I can't comment on that part of it quite yet. I do have a few regular Joye510 attys that I have performed it on previously though and plan to give them a try on the GLV2.

As for the lifespan of the attys ....

I have done this to every one of my LR attys, since making the switch to them, so I can't say if they would have lasted longer or not if I had not done it. Minimum I have gotten out of an LR atty so far though is one month.

As for regular 510 attys I have about a dozen or so of them and I rotate them in and out depending on what flavors I'm using. But even the ones that get the heaviest use are ones that I used for months before doing this to them and I continued to use them for a month or two after doing this to them, before switching to LR attys, without having issues with any of them.

Obviously though I can't guarantee your results will be the same as it seems everyone has different life spans for their attys depending on how they use them. Personally I have only managed to kill 4 510 attys since I started using them back in December. Two of those were LR attys that I'm pretty sure I just overdid it on the dry burn on them and the others were regular 510 attys one of which I knocked the coil out by leaving it under running water too long with to much pressure and the other was one that I don't think was actually dead but I was just to lazy to bother with it anymore.

I actually still use my very first 510 atty, which used to be used for the majority of the day for about 4 months, as the first atty of the day every day for about 2 or 3 hours. And I removed the bridge from that 2 or 3 months ago.
