Hey folks,

First of all I'd like to know your opinions on the GLV PV's. I'd like the super-mini, but are there any advantages to getting the regular mini instead?

Second, If I choose to go with the big GLV 5v there are a few things I really need to know. I'm currently using 3.7v egos.

1. Can I use regular resistance attys and cartos on the 5v devises or do I need HV attys? I know the ce2's don't work all that well, and that I can't use my LR attys. But what about 2.5 and 3.0 attys?

2. How long would the two 750mah batteries last before needing a charge on the 5v?

3. Does anyone know if GLV can throw a 4.5v resistor in there instead of the full 5v to make the ce2's a little more cooperative?

4. Does the supermini have the same button as the reg and mini? I've seen a pic where it was in a different spot.

If anyone has any opinions on the GLV's biased or unbiased I'm open to them. I'm also open to suggestions for other PV's assuming they're not gigantic and clunky. Reg GLV is about the largest I'm willing to go.

Thanks!

Hi Sec,
I have a couple of glvs and I use reg attys all the time. As a matter of fact I even use LR 510s at times with no problems.
Batts will last me about 8 hours of normal use. If you are a very heavy vaper then about 5-6. Go for the 5v. You wont be sorry.

The switches are all the same on the glvs,

My super mini is still on order but I will help with what I can.
The only advantage to going with the mini over uper mini that I could think of is this-
With the regular mini you could buy a GLV2 body tube down the road and use 2 3v batteries to volt unregulated at 6v. You couldnt do that with the super mini without buying a new tail cap as well.

3- Dont take my word for it but I dont imagine that being a problem for Jay, as long as he has the proper resistors. But again I would contact him directly to ask that dont listen to my second hand babble lol.

4- button is the same, as they use the same head unit

And welcome to the GLV crew another Ohioan !

hey doots, how often do you use LR's on a 5v? I've de-bridged all of mine so I'm a little bit worried about the coil ecploding in my mouth or my face. However I'm ordering a fistfull of regular bauway 510 attys and one genjoye to use with the smartcarts and 510 tank karts, so I'll have a few.
kboyts, thanks. I'll get in touch with him and see what I can work out. Honestly the GLV is at the very bottom of my shopping list, but its on there and I would love to have one. Seems like a lot of people have a "sweet spot" right around 4.5, and thats also the optimal voltage for Ivan at IKV's cartos.

Sec I have used many LR attys on the 5v glv and almost always find them perfectly vapable. 1.7 ohms seem about the best for me but
reg 510s are my favorites. Full flavored and smooth full vape..

Standard resistance Joye 510s (~2.3 ohm) are terrific at 5V. You will find the occasional juice that tastes a little burnt with this combination, but the vast majority of my juices taste better at 5V than at 3.7. HV atomizers, like this around 3.5 ohms, will work at 5V but I find the combination to be decidedly blah, offering a very bland, lifeless vape. Those atties are really meant for much closer to 6V (I use mine at 5.8V).

There are not very many quality atomizers at 2.5-2.7 ohms, which is what would be ideal for 5V.
