Hi,

I posted this also on the Newcomer forum. I've emailed Nhaler but haven't received a reply.

The 5 Go-go carts, and Go-go, arrived a week or so ago from Nhaler. I also have juice from Velvet Vapors, all 80/20 mix.

My problem is that every single cart (2 that came with the Go-go, 5 extras I ordered) has a disgusting chemical taste in the vapor. I followed the instructions on how to fill the carts from these forums (excellent instructions for a beginner, many thanks!) and left the carts to soak overnight as well. It made no difference. Each cart took about 2.5mls of juice. In frustration I took the filler out of one of the carts, I could see that the juice had soaked in thoroughly and there were no dry spots.

I cleaned this cart, with the filler gone, and then did the dry burn thingie. It didn't make any difference. The chemical smell (glue, solder?) is still there, even without any filler in the cart. No matter how often I've cleaned the empty cart and done the dry burning, the smell remains.

Then I took a cart I hadn't filled with juice, and took the filler out of that one. Did a cleaning and dry burn, and cleaning again, and this one has the sickening smell as well. Aaarghh!

When I shine a light into the empty cart, I can see a thin layer of something white on either side of the central tube, on the bottom bit. Could that be causing it?

Do I just have a bad batch of go-go carts? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a different cleaning something I could try?

Thanks,

Tgirl

Hi,
You might want to chack your spam folder or check the email address that you put on the contact page, because we answer all emails within 24 hours.
Anyway, this is the first I have heard of this issue. Maybe someone else will chime in with an answer. If it was one cart having this problem I would say maybe you had a bad one, but these carts are all from the same batch for months now ad I havent had any complaints.
Im not sure what carts you had used previously or exactly what device you may be using, but cartos do have a different taste than attys but really shouldnt be chemical like taste. I have had carts that I didnt let soak properly get a burndt taste though.

Hi Drew,

I checked my email folders, but didn't receive a reply email. Maybe the one I sent you didn't get through. Thank you for replying here, it's much appreciated.

I'm using the Go-go carts on the Go-go I bought from you, a few weeks ago. It's my first try, I haven't used carts before. I'm new to vaping, but have carefully studied the instructions on the forums on how to fill the carts and use the Go-go.

The fillers were definitely soaked through, I took one out to check. The chemical smell is also in a fresh cart, one that I took the unused filler out of. It's a very strong, overwhelming smell, which only appears when you turn the Go-go button on.

Hi Drew,

Shipping back to you from Australia is too expensive, I've just thrown them away. I tried many more methods to clean them of the chemical smell but nothing worked. The smell is not there when the carts are cold/not being used.

I ordered more Go-go empty carts from another vendor, to see if they would be different. The ones I received were shrink wrapped, without the rubber end caps. They work perfectly, no chemical or burned smell, and I haven't done anything different in filling them. It's a relief I tell you! Now I can use my Go-go at last. Maybe the ones you sent were from a bad batch?
