I have posted a few times and I feel like and idiot. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong I am on my 3rd burnt tasting go kart..I have the pre-filled carts and they are awesome but the minute I feel I am at the point where I need to add juice everything goes to hell. I use a syringe and on the last 2 carts I have filled completely from the top of the carto because I burnt the 1st won only filling 1/4th from the bottom. after less then 12 hours I put in 1 mil 1/2 mil at a time and let it drip down...in every time I have had liquid come out the bottom and I don't think its getting in the center because I am using the syringe then I let it sit for 10-15 minutes I fire it up and it is has a burnt taste I take it the carto off and sometime there is liquid on the battery post and the cart I have cleaned both extensively but the burn taste is still there and gets worse...
don't get me wrong with everyone being so thrilled with this device I truly think it is something I am doing and not the device..if the pre-filled came in ry4 I would stick with them and call it a day..but I would really like to be able to put my own juice in

Are you trying to refill with the same flavor juice? is it really dark? some tobacco juices can get really nasty when mixed together.

also if the carto is just too nasty for you to use take it apart and see if the glue at the bottom holding the atomizer is black and charred. i had one cart that tasted nasty after only a few hours, i took it apart and there was alot of nasty gunk at the bottom.

maybe try some LR blank go carts and see if they work better for you?

Hi all,
I posted this in the technical battery thread a couple of days ago but no replies so I thought I would try here.
I have recently gotten a Go Go and so far am enjoying it. I have recently developed a problem with one of my batteries. It has been recharged a few times with no problems. I have not needed to do any filing of the plastic on the charger or raising the posts and both batteries have worked fine. I took this battery off the charger the other morning and when I attached a cart and took a drag the blue battery button just kept blinking nonstop. I thought it might not have been completely charged, reattached it to the charger but it seems to be fully charged. It just keeps blinking and no vapor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

do what the instructions that came with it said on troubleshooting. grab tight hold of the button and turn it counterclockwise as many times as it takes to "re-set" it. works for me everytime on one of my finicky batts.

Sometimes the center post on the bsattery gets pushed down from screwing in the cartos really tight. Yuo MUST file down the charger even with the metal to insure good contact with the battery and charger. The shoulders on the battery are to large to provide good cantact with the charger as built. I will bet you a dollar to a donut that once you file down the charger flush as stated, your battery button will flash theree times and then the light on the charger will turn red and you will get a good charge. It takes 30 seconds to file the plastic off the charger with a standard file.

I'm sorry more haven't dialed in on your problem yet. This situation is unique. You are the first to report repeated burning of successive cartos just from filling them up. Need to know exact procedure in minute detail to even begin to determine the problem.

If they seem to work fine with pre filled liquid, and only start acting up when you refill, my first guess is that maybe your liquid is thick and having a hard time wicking...are you using 100 percent vg?, or something really dark?

:(Thanks for the info Texastumbleweed. I have been trying it but it is not working. Any other ideas out there? Or is my battery shot?

Boy, continual flashing to me sounds like it didn't really charge properly....before you put it on the charger again, make sure the batt post is good and clean...when you attach to the charger, the batt light will flash 3 times, then the charger light will go from green to red...if it doesn't do that you don't have a good charger connection, and like mo says, you may need to file the plastic housing on the charger....it is possible that the batt post pushed in a little on you, and youre just missing the connection with the charger...keep us posted....

i'm going to chime in here a bit with an additional issue...my first carto, I used a dark colored, higher PG juice. Since I've been topping off, quite a bit of dark drops come out of the bottom almost right away. I really don't think i'm overfilling, could I have moved the center tube out of position causing it to be out of alignment and leak out? Not a constant leak, just in trying to refill. (I used a q tip in the tube on the first fill and moved the tube back and forth some to pull the material away from the walls a bit.) I just moved it a bit from the bottom hole with a paper clip, now I can see light when looking down through the tube, which I couldn't right before, did I just answer my own question? Should the tube align with the battery hole, otherwise it could leak out more?

IDK< it's still dripping out a bunch of dark drops when I add to that carto. I swear I'm not getting into the tube....hmm...

your problem is your button is stuck. you have got to get the button back to it's normal position. I used a very heavy needle when mine stuck.
I figured out i was using a fingernail to press on the button and got it stuck under the front.
get it unstuck and it will be fine.

hold the battery at eye level to see if it is still stuck. the button should be level with the battery. (parallel)

it probably flashed close to 100 times before shutting off. if that was the case then yes, a stuck button. happened to me a a casino. i thought the police were going to throw me out because of that damn flashing button. i took the cartomizer off and put the damn thing in my pocket and went on losing mo money.

on regular 808 cartos you should be able to see light right thru the center...i think having the center open helps with the airflow, now, these gogos have a coil down there somewhere that's laying horizontally...so I'm not sure that the coil wouldn't block some of the view thru it...
I looked down into the one I'm using right now and I can see just a peep of light thru it...
When you add juice are you slanting the tube and dripping along the inner walls, or are you just letting it sit straight up?
I always tilt them, add a few drops at a time, roll it around in my fingers a little and try to keep the juice on the sidewalls as it soaks in...holding it straight up and down, the juices seems to just run thru and leak....

Yes I am tilting it to drip in, against the wall, maybe not holding it that way long enough...I'll try keeping it tilted longer next time and see how that goes. What I have topped off with is lighter and what drips out is the dark juice still. Don't know why that would make any difference.

Jpaul has not filed his charger down flush with the metal on the charger. His symtoms are a classic example of the center post on the battery not making a good connection with the center post on the charger. A simple 30 second swipe with a standard metal file will cure his charging problems. I am reasonably certain of this.

So is this carto vaping ok?... You should be able to vape it for several hours before you need to fill it....maybe your trying to keep it too full?
Oh, and hey, you're getting close to a year in, by your counter...that's Awesome....

I top off when I am getting a burntish taste and see the filler white on top. Still lots of vapor but the taste is going. So not sure, might clean this one and see what happens. The other 2 I've filled so far, one I've topped off a bit without the leaking out like this one.
Yep, almost at a year! Joined the forum late in so I'm not a forum vet in that sense. Thanks!!:vapor:

jpaul said " the blue battery button just kept blinking nonstop." which is a symtom of a stuck button.

15 flashes indicate a non-charged battery.
