Lol and quite the hit to my wallet lol.I know I do need more bottles, I wanna do glass and been looking at a few sites. Is it crazy that people already want to buy juice from me? They know my perfectionist attitude lol

Not crazy at all. I think that many times your friends are able to trust you more than the vendors.
Plus, I am sure that you could save them a few bucks lol

It really is fun to create different flavors and can become quite a hobby.

I've noticed I get negative values on certain recipes when I try and do 70/30 pg/vg

Are you starting with a high enough strength nic to get to the strength that you want in 70/30?

ETA- Remember that most flavorings are in a PG base so that should count towards your 70% PG

If you are starting at 48 mg what strength are you trying to get to? I edited after you quoted lol

Also what is your nic based in? These are things you have to consider.

I've noticed I get negative values on certain recipes when I try and do 70/30 pg/vg

I had this problem too until I started to check the PG box next to my flavors as 100%. You also have to make sure you don't have any blank flavoring fields checked. All the flavorings I use are 100% PG.
You can also get negative numbers when you don't go straight down all the boxes in order accurately. If I've got it right the calculator will not allow flavor combinations, at the given nic level, and PG/VG ratios for a mix that wouldn't result with a good vapable mix.

Hopefully one of the pros in this thread can do a better job answering your question.

I've only been mixing a little over a month but have already found a tobacco mix that is good for me. I usually plug a recipe into the ejuicemeup and print it out. Then, while I'm mixing, I smell the e-liquid as I go and sometimes adjust flavorings as I mix writing down all adjustments as I go. It's been pretty easy to weed out weak or undesireable mixes. So far (crossing my fingers) I've only lost 10ml to true yecchiness. I still haven't hit that "stellar" mix but it appears that every time I mix I'm improving at least with my "house" tobacco.

Good luck from a noob mixer.

Yeah, not everyone is comfortable using higher mg nic but I find it easier to work with and get to my desired PG/VG level.

Do you think shoot from the hip mixing is a good thing? I mean I mixed 5ml of some 24mg e-liquid using 48 nic to 80/20 this way:

Filled my 5ml bottle half way with nic.
Added another 1.5 ml PG
Added flavorings
Added 1 ml VG.

Is this a good way to mix in your opinion?

Lol part of me wants to say I work with more dangerous things everyday, but the other half says no. Ill probably move it up to 60mg on next order. In the calculator 60mg works well

Yes, it does. I used to use strictly 100 mg nic but 60 mg is perfect for me too.

I think so. Especially if you are not using a ton of different flavorings that you need to get just right.

I keep about 120 mls of nic/pg/vg base mixed to my desired level/strength on hand at all times so that all I have to do is pour my base in the bottle and add flavor. I use an average of 10% with my flavors so I calculate that in there when mixing my base. Sometimes I end up using a little more or less than 10% flavor but, that works out okay for me too.
