I've only been vaping since Dec. 1 but I already have two shelves full of juices, with more on the way. I thought it might be time to learn about this steeping business. I haven't done any research on this but it seems there are a few different approaches:
1) Vacuum seal the bottles of juice (to keep the labels dry) then drop them in an ultrasonic cleaner for "a few cycles". Not really sure what temperature, maybe 120F?
2) Vacuum seal the bottles and drop them in warm water for 4-6 hours. Again, not really sure of the temp, seems like I read 120F?
3) Take the tops off the juice bottle overnight, and store in a dark place for many days, periodically shaking the bottles.
So, I have everything I need, ultrasonic cleaner, chamber vacuum sealer and PolyScience immersion circulator. For now, I'm heating up the ultrasonic cleaner. I'm doubtful I have the experience to know if I have accomplished anything.
If any steeping experts have a better idea, I'd be very interested.
Thanks,
Bob
