well it's true that it'll be better at the begining and last shorter periods of time the longer you have it...

but that's common with ANY stock ecig battery...because the truth is that running the atomizer or cartomizer will overstress the battery and it'll gradually lose some of it's ability to hold a charge until it eventually wont hold a charge anymore.... but that's true of any stock battery as well as lots of the cheaper mod batteries as well...

the 510 does have XL length mega batteries...but I didn't mention those as you were saying that you wanted to keep things about the size of a cig and the XL batteries (both 510 and KR808d-1) push the length out to something closer to a pen...

When you say 1-2 hours for the 510, that's 1-2 hours of straight up smoking correct? Not just sitting there

correct...break that up however frequent you are hitting it...if you're using it for 15minutes every hour...well then that's like 4 - 8 hours...

I chain vape...so I was going through them in an hour...my fiance uses her way more infrequently and maybe goes through a battery a day... both of us were PAD smokers...she just hits hers a couple times a day now...where I've got it in my mouth at least once every 5-10 min...

Yeah I don't want to hold a pen to my mouth lol.
After receiving all this information I am now doubting e-cigarettes :(

I'd say if you're doubting it the cheapest way to find out for sure is to find someplace like madvapes that has disposeable 510s (like $10) and just try it out.... only thing really disposeable about them is they'll take a charge less than a regular battery and only come with like 3 prefilled cartridges...so you'd need to get more juice...

I was a pack a day smoker for 16 years....and the day I got my 510 I quit smoking all together...and I didnt intend to quit just cut back and save some money...

I did need something with a longer battery life because I use mine more as a pacifier and it rarely leaves my hand...

but with the right device and the right juice they work

jRP:
I to work most from my PC at home running my own business. My suggestion is go with a 510 PT for at the PC and for ease of moving around go with a bigger battery set up like the Ego or Hello 016 battery will last most of the day when out, grab some cartomizers and fill them in the morning as part of your morning startup.

I have found it quite relaxing to start my day out this way. Just my 2c hope it can be of some help.

I have a tendency to chain vape while working (Us to smoke like a chimney) I use a strong nic level in the morning to start the day and go down to a lower level nic during the day.

Its better then smoking IMOP. :)

That's a great idea, I was going to get the Manual 510 DISPOSABLE E-CIG KIT Till I noticed they ran out.
What would you recommend this one for a disposable -
J108A Disposable e-cig
or
510 DISPOSABLE E-CIG KIT

I cad to guess and go look at the ones you said since it really want a link...

I'd say the 510 one...the J108a one is more of a 306 or 401 style (ie the cartridges don't hold much at all)....

they are automatics....if you like those... then your cheapest regular 510 kit would be through someplace like cignot... which has their no box kits for $35 that have 2 batteries and 2 atomizers in each kit... so it's just a bit bit more per unit than the disposeables...

They are out of the Manual 510 on madvapes. I just want to give e-cigs a good try before I fully invest and spend the money on a few kits.
If you can find a manual 510 I (disposable) i'd be more then happy to buy it just so I can try it. If I do find out I like it I will then order some kits for me and my parents.

Thanks for all the help!

that's what I was saying...the disposeable kit is around $10 for 1 ecig...1 battery...that battery is advertised as only being able to be charged 3 times (though you may get a few more charges)....the cignot no box kit is $35 and has 2 full ecigs...2 batteries and 2 atomizers...and doesnt have that charging restriction...
but outside of madvapes I don't know who else carries disposeable manual 510 kits...

Ahh I got what your saying. But if i order the no box kit from cignot and I don't like it? Or I don't like the manual e-cig? I'm stuck with it.

you can get auto batteries in the no box kit as well.... you have a choice of led color, body color, and manual or auto on both batteries...so you can get one of each...

if you don't like it you're not out much or you could try to resell it in the classifieds....

I thinking more...if you do like it...and the disposeable only lasts a guaranteed 3 charges...then you might get caught waiting for a package again....and well it really seems like throwing away $10 to me...

Good idea. I guess i'll bite the bullet and order one kit to see how we like it.
Any suggestions on e-liquid?

Thanks again for all the help!

well, you can always buy replacement batteries in either auto or manual switch for about $15-20ea. I don't think it'll bother you either way. You and your folks are going to feel so much better that you're vaping instead of smoking, all the little hassles become very trivial. And think what a hassle analogs are.

Good luck and happy vaping!

I can't make up my mind on either manual or automatic :/ I know I can get one of each but if I do discover me and my parents like the e-cig's and would have preferred manual or auto or auto over manual we have one we wont use lol. I sound worse then a girl trying to figure out what to wear. :(

I by far prefer the manuals....while it may seem like a hassle to push a button you soon get used to it...but they do require a hand to operate...so if you find yourself often just dangling a cig from your lips while you're doing stuff the button is a drawback...

Autos though are notorious for being prone to dying if you flood the atty and the juice drips into the battery...they also are known to go off at loud noises like if you play music or drive with your windows down...

as for liquids...that comes down to personal preference really what some like others wont....I will say that my favorites are from nhaler...and vaporbomb...both offer smaller sampler sizes...though vaporbomb offers more in the way of different strengths, flavors and customizeable PG/VG ratios...

PG giving a better throat hit....VG being a bit sweeter and more vapor but less of a throat hit... i'd suggest a 50/50 blend for someone new...
