Going to Singapore

guys... tomorrow I m going to SG... well actually the flight is to Johor (Senai) and then to SG by bus (I guess... poor man no money take taxi)... I have 1 evercool and 2 1000mah batts... and planning to take 4 filled cartos with me... wont be bringing chargers with me... is it ok for me to waltz in through yer gates or should I leave my evercool behind (it does resemble a detonator/walkie talkie a lil bit)... and how should I pack it? can I put it in my pocket or disassemble and tuck it safely in my backpack...

note: I ve never went through a cavity check and plan to stay that way until the day I die...........

if it's a box mod, it should be ok, as long as it isn't the shape of ego. I have got many unpleasent updates from JB & Sg friends and relative this few weeks. Just don't gamble your luck by bringing in any ego to Sg.

Try putting your carto saperately in a small box such as pencel case togather with some pens.

if U think it is too risky to bring in yr e-cig to Singapore than best to use anologs while U there..i would if Singapore so strict regarding e-cig..regards mafig

well, assuming your box mod looks like battery charger, not look like usual ego. and there isn't any brand / logo at the box mod indicating it's e-cig, unlike ego which does has brand/logo mark at atty or battery....the risk is much lower. Even the Provari could have risk as it's name can be seen clearly on the PV.

In summary, the more out of shape your mod is, the safer it is.

You can also consider mafig's suggestion.

the evercool does not look anything like an e-cig... and the batts doesnt have any demarcations on it... guess I would just risk it by mixing it up in wifey's make up bag... wish me luck guys!

hehe... just to update I guess..

successfully went in and out of SG with all my kits safe!

brought with me:
2 x 1000mah batts
2 x TrusFire batts
3 x cartomizers
placed in a bag and placed the bag in my wife's make up bag

in hand:
1 x evercool mod (with 2 TrustFire batts)
1 x cartomizer

just before going in SG at woodlands custom checkpoints I unscrewed the carto from my evercool and put it in my camera bag (together with the cam charger and cables)...

scanned and I was safe! hehe...

coming back time I forgot to hide the evercool when coming in at MY kastam... make cool face... placed the evercool and carto in the tray with my wallet and phone... scanned and I was safe!!!

I've been to Singapore last month, completely dismantled a GGTS with UFS into separate parts, placed them in assorted locations in my luggage and had no problems. Also had an Ego style battery with the carto removed to get me through customs both ways. Put my 50ml juice bottles with my toiletries and pretended that it's a bottle of shower soap or shampoo.

I just avoided using any of the e-cigs when in public where I could get caught. No problems indoors all the way through about 1 and a half days of meetings.

I agree with jacktan12, always dismantle ur PV when you go across customs..
as for vaping in public, i vape all the time in public in SG with no issues
