I have a suggestion that is a little different. This helped me at one point, but may not be for you. Each time you buy cigarettes, buy a different kind, so you don't expect nicotine to taste a certain way. Don't smoke your regulars and don't smoke the same kind for long. Make the variety as great as possible. When you do stop smoking next time, you may not be looking for that perfect flavor. It may help the tobacco flavors taste a little better.
I took me almost 4 weeks to go from smoking 1 1/2 packs per day to none. I limited myself at first to 3-5 cigs per day. I didn't think I would get to the point where I didn't want a cig. I was counting on every half cig and counting how man hours to the next half. I have done much better this past week. All of a sudden, it kicked in for me. I have had 1 cig since last Friday and only 1 each day on last Wednesday and Thursday. I still allow myself to have cigs, I just don't want them as much or at all now and it shows in the fact that I haven't smoked my allowed amount.
I still like tobacco flavors when I am really wanting to nic up. For instance, first thing in the morning and after some activity that kept me from vaping regularly. I tend to like blonde tobacco flavors.
The device that got me off cigs is an Ego-T, Type B with LR atomizers. I also use a G-Go.
