I just ordered a VAMO to play around with since it's got fairly good reviews for a cheap mod, and I broke one of my eGo Twists this last weekend when the kid knocked it off the shelf...lol.

So I figured I'd order up a more solid metal tube mod and I like the VV/VW option and lots of people have good things to say about the VAMO.

XStar was the one I think I saw in a PBusardo review which he didn't like a few things about it but it looked like a good charger. Any AMR type protected battery of 18350/650 size should work just fine in a VAMO right? Button top or non...I'm not sure which it takes, or both?

Suggestions for reputable vendors that carry these products (chargers/batteries) would also be appreciated.

The Nitecore looks pretty good, but it mentioned that it can charge 18650 but not 18350 size batteries? Have you found that to be the case?

I charge 18650's, 18490's, 18350's and 14500's in mine, I think you have been misinformed. In fact, it lists 16340's so will go even shorter than the 350 by 10 mm.

If you look at the specs on the page you listed it didn't specifically list 18350's that's why I asked the question.

I was going off the information that was posted there. But yeah I've decided to go with a Nitecore charger, the i2 which I found a good deal on. Also ordered a couple recommended Panasonic 18650 batts.

The only choice for 18350's were UltraFire and TrustFire and I've read enough negatives about those to decide to order elsewhere. Any recommended 18350's that you use in a VAMO that perform pretty well? I probably won't be using the 18350's that often but perhaps they might be my atwork vape with the Vamo in short mode perhaps. Or I might just be lazy and use the full sized stick. We'll see in a few days when my vape mail arrives.

I know there are AW IMR 18350's because ProVape sells them. I use trustfire's though, not sure where I picked them up. I do not use them in my Vamo or ProVari though, I use 18650's. I use the 18350's in my 'vela and they work fine in the mechanicals. To be honest I haven't stacked so can't say anything about that in the Vamo just because I only have one set of '350's and need them elsewhere.

Oh I know there are other 18350's to be had out there, the particular site where I ordered the charger and the 18650 batts didn't carry anything but UltraFire and TrustFire batteries, and I've read enough warnings from other people to just skip past those and go for something more reliable especially in a VAMO.

I wouldnt be intending to stack the 350's, only to get some of those to use the VAMO in mini-mode instead of full baton mode.

So far I've ordered this http://www.fasttech.com/products/14...ore-i2-lithium-li-ion-ni-mh-ni-cd-smart-batte

and these batteries $17.95 Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Those are the WRONG BATTERIES! You need the CGR18650CH which are gray in color.

ETA: please rethink what you are doing. Go to the ecig sites to find the batteries you need and if you really want to buy them elsewhere be very particular about the exact batteries you buy. We don't want you to be injured with the wrong batteries!

Here is a good site to learn about batteries etc:

I've only had my Vamo V2 for 2 weeks and only have used Efest 800 mah imr 18350 nipple topped stacked, Cherry is right cap won't close all the way but hasn't been any problem at all, it closes to about 1 mil short of full. In stacked mode their lasting me about 8-10 hours, and take about 6 hours to charge in my trust fire tr001 charger, no problem at all so far.

But because of what I've read here several times I well upgrade my charger.
