Hey all, just found the forum and looking fwd to sifting thru the loads of info in this great community.

A bit about myself, former poker player and currently in the Restaurant biz. Smoked way more analogs in my life than I care to admit to. About 8 months ago I met a Vape user at a home poker game and tried his device, wasn't quite sold on his device since it looked like a crackpipe at the time (it was a large mod with led display). It looked super expensive and intimidating.

I was intrigued at the fact that I could kick smoking so stopped at the gas station and picked up a Blu disposable. Ended up buying a rechargeable Blu pack online. It pretty much worked since I stopped smoking but the battery died after some time which led me to buying my first pack of cigs in 8 months. Hated myself for doing it but here I am now, owner of an Evod 650mah device and loving it. I gave away the pack I bought. Plan on eventually upgrading to Mods when I get more comfortable with all the hardware.

First question I have, I got some juices free and enjoy them but the vapor smells like molasses. My Blu vapor was scent less. Any idea why? The e juice is. 60PG-40PG blend.

There are about a million e-liquids to choose from. Some have very little smell, some smell yummy, some stink! It is what it is. Just try another flavor. Get sample sizes of different flavors until you find a few you like.

Welcome to ECF. I wouldn't worry about falling off the wagon. It happens.
Hang around this place and do a lot of reading, there's tons of info here on vapin.
The battery that died shows why we all have extras of everything. It keeps those panic moments down to a minimum.

Sounds like you're off to a good start (well, eventually)!

Be careful of ECF! It's way too much fun, and will likely cause severe damage to your wallet, because there are so many different things to try.

And whatever you do, don't go near FastTech! (You're lucky, they're on a 2-week vacation at the moment). It will be the end of financial solvency as you know it!

Sounds like you've been doing great so far, and your recent step-up to the EVOD is a great choice IMHO. And remember, it's not about how many cigarettes you smoke, it's about how many you DON'T smoke, although getting rid of the beasties entirely sure is great!

Congratulations on your 8 months achievement. Focus on this and don't beat yourself up with the slip. It happens. Learn from it and make sure you never get caught with a moment like that-no juice, battery died or forgot your mod)

Juices really do vary. I have smelled something off the bottle that smelled so good, vaped good, but man does the vapor smell! Flowery/perfume smell! And then there are stuff that smelled bad in the bottle, vaped good and scentless vape. Then there's just bad all the way to the end. You get my point. That's why for some, they prefer to buy their ejuice locally so they can sample it. And if it's major brand, you can purchase a bigger bottle online. Wait for sales and markdowns. Another alternative is ordering sample packs or a variety of smaller bottles. I.E. Halo, they have sample packs and all their juices are available in 7ml tanks. Hope it helps!
