It's the only Cartomizer that ever worked well for me... got them from Ikenvape a while back... but Ikenvape is AWOL and I can't seem to get a reply from them... the site is down etc... man I love them... but every now and then, theu just fall off my radar...
Does anyone know what kind of dual coil cartomizer I need for 5 volt vaping?

The ones that I like... they are a little longer than the normal ones... never gets hot... performs so well...

any help on what these are and where I can get them would be appreciated... all I know is they are not LR... because I am sure when I bought them I was smart enough not to get LR... I think the resistance is around 2.8-3.2... not sure...

Ikens dual coils are smoke tech. pretty much everyone carries them.. I'm pretty loyal to madvapes for my smoke tech goods, but I think dual coils can be found at at least 75% of the forum vendors sites.

Dual coils come in several ohms. 1.25, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 for sure. At 5.0v, I'm usually pretty happy with the 1.5's but sometimes need a 2.0 (depends on the juice).

will a dual coil 1.5 work on 5 volts?

Since there's two 3ohm coil. You should be fine but, if your still leery about that type of setup. Then you can get the 2ohm DCC as Six suggested.

Tobacco or menthol tobacco flavors shouldn't taste burnt with 1.5 ohms DCC and 5V. They actually taste better with that type of setup.

Yes you can use that but it might be too much for some and would suit short drags. A 1.5 ohm single coil would burn out very quickly at 5v, but a 1.5 ohm dual coil is made up of two seperate 3 ohm coils which should be OK. Not all devices are able to supply enough amps to power this though, and high drain batteries would be a good idea.

*Edited* I have been using ST DC's for over a year. 1.5oms start burning over 4.2v. I use 2.5oms on my proveri at between 4.8 and 5.3v. 2.0oms work around 4.6v.
tastyvapor.us sells all the ST DC's. They have the standard size X $1.60 each, XL $1.80, XXL $2.40(with thicker tubes, 801 Size), and the MEGA EGO size.
myvaporstore.com has the XL size $9.00 pack of five.

Most XL's last me for 15ML of juice, the XXL's last 20-25ML.

Thanks... I'm just looking for the ideal set up... 1.5 is low... wasn't sure for a dual coil... I know the dual coils were lower ohs than the singles I was using on my 5v...

I just can't remember exactly... and can't access my previous orders at ikenvape... any idea when ikenvape will be back up?

I was under the impression Iken went back up a few weeks ago. there's a thread in his forum with a title that says they're open on 06/20.

If he's closed again, you may be able to view your account at carolinavapes. Some people reported being able to log in there with their Ikenvape log in credentials. Maybe you can also access your account information that way (?)

Yep the 'rules' are a bit different with dual coils because a 1.5 ohm DCC would be made up of two 3 ohm coils, a 2 ohm DCC would be made up of two 4 ohm coils etc.

The site is there now for me, are they not accepting orders? They sell a 1.6 ohm dual coil "recommended for 4.5-5v" - IKV 510 Clear LR 1.6Ω Dual Coil
