Hey eveyone,

I'm looking for a decent inexpensive mechanical mod clone? I'm not usually one to be cheap, but I'm not really sure how much I'll be using a mech, and I'm trying not to spend a ton of money and not use it. There are a lot of clones on eBay, but I don't want to buy just anything, and I'm still waiting to be approved on here to access the classified section (side bar; anyone know how long this generally takes? I've got my posts in, and submitted my eBay request on Thursday but haven't heard anything back yet). If anyone can give a little advice on something decent under say $40 bucks, that'd be great. As always, thanks a ton everybody!

I don't usually advocate clone usage, but that's not an argument for this thread.

I would second FastTech as a legit vendor. Shipping might take a while, but you'll get it for sure. If I had to recommend any mech clone, I'd go with the Nemesis. I've owned 3 authentic Nemesis's and they are amazing mods. Fully adjustable, and you can switch out the tubes for different battery sizes.

The first mod I bought was a no-mark Nemesis clone here at a local shop and it made me wonder what the real thing would be like. If you enjoy the Nemesis clone, think about getting an authentic one sometime later. You won't regret it.

I really like my sting ray. You could almost close your eyes and pick anyone of the popular mods. Talk to ten people and you will get ten opinions. For someone just getting into mechs, I think ease of use is key. You don't want to be frustrated trying to make it work. Really its just a battery holder, So my advice is look around at what others have and pick the one you like.
