So sorry Sunshyne that you've lost access to the exalted shawarma. They were indeed chicken and I thought of you when I ate one for lunch yesterday! The place I get my favourite from has the best tahini sauce ever!!

I'm glad your family drama has concluded with your eyes unstrained, kitty.

My brain is not producing well-formed thought so far today so it's either time for bed or time for a brisk walk by the lake.
Maybe one of each?

I heard that just yesterday from my mom...we were talking blood pressure & health stuff...mentioned the hubby & i were nearing our 1 year of not smoking...she replied "not even those fake ones?" LOL

Morning Everyone!

I could have sworn it was Friday today! Looks like we're finally going to get lots of snow in the big T.O.! Yes!!
Admittedly, I don't have to drive in it so I may be more excited than others.

So...I'm not the only one who has to put up with the whole "fake" cig thing. My son and his friend saw someone vaping on the streetcar this week. A mini vivi nova set-up. First sighting in the city for us. It's not cool they were doing it while riding though. Streetcar is like a bus for those unfamiliar with the term. My son thinks it looks like a drug delivery system. Here the gov't is trying to scare people into thinking that it will be some kind of gateway to smoking for young people but they think it's the most uncool thing!

Sorry to hear about your new boss Ty. Hopefully, they will mellow quickly once they feel more confident in their job.

Got up extra early for me this morning so I could book a reservation at my favorite campground spot, but no luck - all spots have already been reserved - I am soooo sad - Oh well - I'll just have to look for other spots and dates.

Wow, almost a year! Can you believe it? When is your 1 year anni?

February 23rd!!! And no I can't believe it. We have tried so many times before....wellbutrin, patches, gum, chantix....The e-cig certainly worked for us. I hear all the "still smoking" "still addicted to nicotine" stuff...I'm fine with that. nicotine was never my concern...all the smoke, chemicals & health effects were my concern. I know (documented) my blood pressure dropped like a rock, I can breath again, no more morning smokers cough, no more out of breath with activity etc. I smoked for nearly 36 years & was up to a pack & a half a day.

i am beyond thrilled!
