I am finding this type of mod to be too much power. Burning through a lot of juice and having a lot of leakage.

Recommend that you look into RDA's. You can build your own coils in any gauge, shape and size to fit your needs. If you need portability first, suggest reading about pods to get a feel of the type of coil that fits you. I'm at high ohms and low watts (2.2-8 ohms/~6w/32ga Kanthal A1;4-5 turns;0.118 inch ID;Rayon wick).
