The Revolver Lounge is up here in Toledo. I went in to pick up an atty, and came home with a bottle of their juice and some cartridges that were on clearance.

What are their regular prices like? Retail markup at brick-and-mortars vary so widely, I'm just curious about a business who's main competition is rock-bottom Internet prices. Did you know furniture is typically marked up 400%?! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a business making a profit; I'm all about free enterprise. I'm glad there are storefronts and stuff available (and it would be nice if there were more), but I'm also glad the cheap option also exists. I do a lot of my own mixing, so I probably spend less than $1 a day on juice.

Prices are higher than internet stores. I only purchased an atty and a 30ml bottle of juice. Store prices seem higher than their internet prices, because I paid 25.98 for that, with some cartridges thrown in for free. Flavors were good in both the juice and the carts. I'd shop more online, but I don't have a credit card, and my ability to use debit varies widely. I probably won't buy frequently, because I can find it more cheaply elsewhere. However, the in-store staff members are awesome people, and the Iceberg Apple I purchased is divine. If I can't find similar or figure out how to DIY it, then I might occasionally order more.

The good thing about a brick and mortar store is that you can try different juices w/o buying, and if you get a bad atty (like I did) you can exchange it for a new one. I'm new at this, so that bit of convenience seemed worth it to me. Who knows what the future holds for this vaper.

(also I hope to be back in STL for the next meet up, but I may not make it until Feb. Things are moving along nicely with the boyfriend. He's not leaving Ohio though.)

That seems like a reasonable markup to me, lotsa overhead involved (especially if you want to hire and keep good employees!). Sounds like a nice place.

I haven't been able to reproduce one of my faves, either. TV Butter Rum is completely different from any other Butter Rum I've tried, and I have no idea how to even begin with that one. "Iceberg Apple" sounds pretty good, is it sour at all? I'm thinking something along lines of Green Apple, Koolada, and sweetener. My problem with fruit flavors has been that most of them taste like perfume to me. I think my tastes may be changing, though, because I'm finding more fruit flavors that I like (yay, because I love fruit flavors). My current obsession is mixing some regular old coconut from myfreedomsmokes.com with my "sweet menthol mix" (just menthol, Ethyl Maltol, and sucralose. I'm still working on the right mix). Coconut has never been one of my favorite "real-world" flavors, but the juice goes surprisingly well with all kinds of other flavors (tobacco, cherry, blueberry, etc.). I threw together some Coco-Cherry-Chocolate that wasn't bad at all. If I weren't so disorganized, I would know how to make some more, LOL.

Iceberg Apple doesn't have a sourness for me. It's similar to a Green Apple Jolly Rancher... with a kick of something cold. It doesn't feel like a proper menthol, but I can't describe it accurately. The "kick" is, to me, a stronger flavor on the exhale, and it feels almost dry. Cold and dry, but not in a bad way. Sigh, this is why I don't review beers or wines. I'm not so good at describing some flavors. :p

I'm only getting this with either a carto or an atty/adapter on an 808. I won an ego-t yesterday, so I'll have more of a variety of PVs to compare it on.

EmmaJo, the reading looks like a lot of reading :D My main blockage is space. I have none.

Don't be impressed with my mixing skills, LOL. You'll eventually start combining pre-mixes that you like. Next thing you know, you're forced to buy some VG from your local hippy-food store (Foxfire Eco Organic Whole Foods Granola Farm or something), or some menthol crystals, or some high-nic base to perk up that low-nic juice you bought when you first started. Then you have to read to find out how to use it, and you wind up going further than you planned. Next thing you know, you're mixing your own stuff just to avoid the hassle of ordering more (I've gone a couple of months without ordering before). It kinda just sucks you in.

Yikes! That's the LAST thing I need is to be sucked in to something else spending more $$. I've been really good about keeping my monthly orders under what I would have spent on a month's worth of smoking. Vaping is actually saving me money at this point and I want to keep it that way!! lol

$15.75 - 4 oz. (128 mL) "Doubler" (that's a lot of one flavor, choose wisely!)

$15.75 - 4 oz. (128 mL) "Doubler" (that's a lot of one flavor, choose wisely!)

$29.95 - 60 mL of 100 mg. unflavored

That's 316 mL of ~18 mg. juice for $61.45 +S&H, about 20 cents per mL, and if you use 4 mL per day, that's about 75 cents per day, and it should last you around 80 days (round figures).

Not a bad price, and there are only 2 ingredients to mix. Technically it's not "DIY", since you are using a pre-made zero-nic juice and just adding the nicotine, but you see how quickly you can save some money doing it this way.

You need enough room to store 3 bottles of stuff, and some empty dropper bottles. Maybe a measuring syringe and some nitrile gloves. Careful with the high-nic stuff, it can be dangerous. Don't smear it on your skin, and don't let the kids or the pets get into it (unless you're tired of feeding them).

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk you into DIY. It's not for everyone. If you're not interested, that's fine. I'm just pointing out that the reasons you have given so far indicate that you may have some misconceptions.
