Hello,
I am a new member and wanted to say hello to everyone.

I live in New York and got into vaping a little more than a year ago - and fell in love with it.
Since then, I have purchased quite a few mods: I started with Sigelei SID and then went for the Kangertech Kbox, the eLeaf, the Tesla 120W, the KBox Mini, the Sigelei Fuchai and a couple of mechanical mods.

I am always trying to improve the size of my clouds, but despite I went for a smok TFV4 I think I am doing something wrong, because despite they look respectable, they are nowhere near what you can see on the internet... or even when I see certain people vaping in the streets.

I have read the new member information forums, but somehow I feel intimidated by the amount of information.

What is the best way to learn this in your opinion - just read on forums like this one? Bring my stuff to a vape shop? Are there any communities of vapers in New York / Brooklyn?

Thank you and stay safe if you live on the East Coast.

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
Hi and welcome. I am not really a cloud chaser myself. But all of those are good ideas; read here, and go to your local shops and talk to the guys you see with big cloud. You may find it handy to talk to them, and then come talk to us before you try it :) Good luck in the snow. Or move to Houston...

Right- this is just personal perspective so bear with me...

I'm the proud owner of a TFV4 micro, which is the same as what you have but with the exception of the coils being smaller along with the tank capacity.
I'm not a cloud chaser per say, but every once in a while I get the urge to attempt to create my own weather
Now the TFV4 is a great tank. If you dial it down s little it's s bit more user friendly too.
My Clapton coils are rated 30-60w and I find my sweet spot at around 50w with the bottom airflow open fully and the airflow on the tip closed. This, due to the nature of the tank, produces consistently large clouds with a great flavour.
If I up the wattage all the way to 60w the vapour production gets a little bigger, but not much. In order to achieve a huge cloud, if that's what you're looking for, you need to up your wattage to near the max firstly. I say near the max because I find the last few watts on a coils rating do very little. You also need to close off your airflow a little- again not too much as you'll burn out the coil and probably burn your lips and the back of your throat. The vapour, in my experience, at 60w and above gets hot- I need airflow to cool it down, but this can take away density.

And lastly your juice. Flavour is up to you, but high VG helps a lot with cloud density. You may lose a little flavour but the clouds will be better. The TFV4 seems to like 80/20 VG/PG.

Like I said this is just what I find, so take from it what you will or completely ignore me
