I am relatively new to vaping. I currently have a mvp 2 and love it. I love the vape production and long battery life. It is not very pocket friendly and with summer coming, I can no longer shove it in my coat.

What is a good starter apv with removable batteries. I like the itaste 134 and 134 mini. What othet options are out there. Don't say provari, as it is just out of my price range. I am looking at getting into rebuildables as well, but am not looking for a mech mod quite yet.

What do you think would fit the bill for me?

I love my Lavatube V2.5. i got the kit from them and the chrome finish for $150 bucks and i carry it in the case that is provided every day. i use it while driving as well. good price battery last all day and it comes with a 1 year warranty and their customer service is the best i have ever dealt with. here is a pic of my setup

So I made my decision today on what to go with. And my decision suprised even me. I decided to skip the second vv/vw mod. I went with the k100 mech mod. I like the size, and I think I am going to make the leap into rebuildables.

If you get the mech, you could also look at the vamo v5s head for mech mods.

...only if you like pressing both the mech's button and the Vamo's button at the same time. It's really a stupid design flaw.

Edit: It's probably workable on a side firing mech, though.

I been trying to figure that one out too; at first I was thinking maybe you need a mech that can lock in the on position.
But lately, considering the fact that it is not the head from the vamo5, but instead a specially designed vamo5s head intended for mech mods, maybe it actually has on an always on menu setting.

It's not a "specially designed" anything. It's a Vamo control head with 510 threads. You were right the first time. You need a mech mod that can lock in the "on" postion.

Well yeah, one can call it a vamo control head with 510 threads, but if your vamo5 head dies, you can't just replace it with a vamo5s control head.

That is what I mean by it being specially designed; it is definitely not the same item as the control head from the vamo5.

Therefore, it does not have to have the same software.
So since it is specifically designed to work on mech mods, and even the description says it works with the common mechs like nemesis, chiyou etc, I imagine the software has an ON setting; I notice one of the alibaba pics show an OFF display; I guess if there is a big OFF display from one of the menu's , there's probably an ON function too.

-edit-
From what I saw on a youtube video (it was in german so I couldn't understand the words) the went through the display menu and it's the same 3 menus as the vamo3, so there's no special mech mode in there, and it was obvious he was using a mech that was in always on mode because he wasn't pressing the mech button at all; when he powered up the head the first time it also came up with the vamo on scroll message just like the normal one.

the notion of leaving a mech in always on mode is very worrying; the positive and negative are only a millimeter away from a short inside that 510 threadwell.

Has anyone ever actually tried to use this v5s head with a k100 or do I need to order one and try it? Not trying to be rude to anyone here. Just want to avoid an argument over a relatively stupid thing. On a positive note, I got the k100 and love it. Even using my group of iclear tanks it tastes better than my mvp2. I think it was what I needed to go 100 percent analog free.

there's only 3 reviews on fasttech; one review says it works with the nemeis; he also said it makes your pv 50cm long which makes no sense.

another person says it works with a mech where you can set the mech fire button permanently on, but reading it closely it doesn't clearly state whether that is an actual requirement. doesn't say he actually used it on a mech or anything;

and i can't understand the 3rd review:
Moved the fire button spring from its position to under the fire pin to cause it to be on. But the vamo control head fire button controls this function instead. Real cool. Outrageously huge at 9 7/16 inches w/18650 batt and a vivi nova which I love as it's nostalgic, conversational, and lasts a long time with continuous vaping.Discussions about this model were full of mockery but it suits my collection and novel.
