Ok so I've been looking around reading researching and I've found tons of info and I was going to wait till next paycheck but that's not till next week and right now its not an option cause someone just gave me as a "present" a carton of smokes and I really just want to quit. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.. thanx:unsure:

That's a bummer actually. Now is the best time to buy HW and juices... new years deals and discounts...

If you are sure about vaping and totally know that it is what you are going to do I'd recommend getting Vamo and Vivi nova's straight away. But that's something that I would've done if I'd do research and try out before I bought my first kit.
It was enough for me to be sure I want this tho.
Or ego twist and few clearos if you're still unsure.
And if you really wanna go cheap on it- go with some starter ego kit :)

My first kit came from coupons website. $29 for 2 11000mah ego batteries, 2 clearos, charger, case and bottle :)

This is what I got for my son for Christmas and I think it's a great deal for a newb at $24.95. Variable Voltage eGo V Electronic Cigarette with Built in Passthrough Function | eCig Variable Voltage eGo V Battery It's an Ego V passthrough, you can adjust the voltage from 3v-6v, and on the drop down menu you can get the car charger and wall adapter for $8.95. I think it's a decent price to get started vaping, plus you can vape on it while it's charging. I also got my son a vivi nova tank, which is on the drop down list as well. I don't work for this site and haven't even ordered from them before just recently. I just think it's a good option for a newb if you want to do it on the cheaper side and still have a decent ecig.

Hey MzGlow.......hows it goin?? Here are just a couple of sites to browse and look at equipment. You will find better pricing from China but you will pay more for shipping of course. Glad to have you here and good luck with the quitting! I have found the e-cig to be a blessing. Started smoking at age 11 or 12, dont remember exactly, never thought I'd be able to give em up til these bad boys came around. Tried one many years ago and it sucked. They have made major improvements and now they are just fantastic!! Welcome aboard and happy vaping! :vapor:

A Volt kit from SmokelessImage is probably the best choice for you, especially at your budget. Their Basic kit is $30, but you may want to look at the Standard kit for $45. SI has a great product, great prices, and superb customer service...a great one stop shop for beginners. They also have a strong presence here on ECF. Smokeless Image

They have a 20% off sale that ends today, coupon code is "MERRYVOLT"

Other wise you can use the "VOLTSAVE" coupon code for 16% off.

BONUS - Get a free battery or 30ml juice for posting in this thread - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-your-freebie-faces-volt-smokeless-image.html

I would have suggested going with Halo Cigs G6, but now can't suggest that... You can see my new thread in new members forum on Halo Cigs.... I would suggest V2 (I'm not paid by them in any way, like some "reviewers" are - I'm speaking from a true new vapor, who's only been off analogs for 2 months, and had relatively o.k. experience with V2, probably more so their customer service being good, rather than their product being some kind of mind blowing product, etc...) - I liked Halo, but after spending $700 with them, and converting many relatives and co-workers to them, have still been treated like I'm un-important to them. Terrible service, and Terrible policies will be Halo's issues long term. I wish someone would have wrote about these issues earlier, before I got so hooked in with Halo. I've heard nothing but good things about the eGo Twist batteries, and so I ordered a set of them, chargers, some boge single coil cartomizers, cone, and case for something like $80 from litecigusa.net and am currently waiting on them. If you are o.k. with a thicker battery, then this might be a good choice. Watch the youtube reviews by pbsario and Grimmgreen, and you'll be hooked. I wanted to start with something cigarette sized though, and still like that feeling, so the starter kits have helped me duplicate that enough to come off cigs, but now I want more voltage, more vapor, more throat hit with less nicotine, so I'm going up the ladder to the next step. I think everyone does this if they stick with vaping. I still plan on using my mini pv's though for that authentic cig feeling. I would sugest going with LR or Low resistance cartomizers also though, as they produce more vapor, heat, etc. although they do drain your batteries faster. Good luck!!!!!!

Well they all sound wonderful I found one pretty good my question is can the filled cartomizers be re-filled afterwards? Cause that way I can look up juices and keep going for a bit till I can get a better one right?

If you buy prefilled cartomizers then its best to refill with the same juice they had in them (so yes, you can refill). If you get some blank cartomizers you can put whatever juice you like in.
And for either option - you can refill them a number of times. I find about 8 times, but your mileage may vary. Buying juice and filling your own works out cheaper. Getting a bunch of small e-juice bottles of different flavors is a good way to find out what flavors you like.

Now that's a good and cheap deal to get started! :)

And, it happens to be what seems to be finally working for my daughter. She liked the SI Volt. But, she just never seemed to use it. Apparently, having to pay attention to whether or not a carto needs to be refilled is just too much trouble.

Then, I gave her a CE4 and a 650mah Ego, and she's really been using it!!!!

The OC
eGo variants for batteries with a simple to use tank system like the Vision Stardust are the best bet for new vapers in my opinion.

There ARE better batteries, variable voltage, longer line, etc...

But eGos are compact, simple and durable....

The Stardust fits the same criteria
