The 75w Pico is a good kit. I got one when I returned to vape after a long absence. I like it's size. The battery lasts me all day, and the tank is decent. It really shines with a baby beast tank instead of the Melo.
The pico only supports 22mm tank. Would the baby beast fit on it? It looks a lot bigger than melo3 mini.

Also i wanted to know how the resistance affected the vape.
I understand the electrical aspect of resistance and power but it'd be great if someone could clear up the vape part for me.

Resistance effects the vape much more if you're using an unregulated device. When using a regulated device, which it sounds like is what is being discussed, the resistance certainly matters but.... way less. Your power settings and how they relate to the resistance will mean more than the resistance itself. E.g., you could theoretically get a similar (maybe not exact same) vape from a .2 or a .5 ohm coil on a regulated mod, once you fix the wattage.

The Pico only accommodates 22mm but is a great kit. AL85 takes 24.5mm indeed, maybe a full 25mm. I have both, they're both good. Pico seems slightly better built as a device but the AL85 is probably the better full kit. I mostly wanted the extra room for toppers on the '85 and needed a new Baby anyway.

the AL85 kit comes with the TFV8 Baby Beast tank, far as I know, these "Beast" series from Smok guzzles juice. Something to consider. (and someone correct me if im wrong :p )
less resistance means higher wattage needed, more electricity/heat running through your coils, hence it's gonna affect your vape density/quantity, and flavor to some extent. Obviously the trade offs for these are less battery life, and higher ejuice consumption. On a regulated device, you can fine tune the wattage to your liking though.

Yes i do have a regulated device and use it mostly on wattage mode.
I have used .3 and .5 eleaf stock coils and couldn't really tell the difference.
And your explanation kinda clears up why i couldn't tell the difference.
Or maybe I'm just too new to vaping to notice if there is any.

Everyone seems to be in love with the baby beast series.
Definitely gonna give it a try then.

yep.
The kit itself is good imo and I really like the mod's design, but the tank is just not for me as I prefer building my own coils.

There's an RBA? That's decent. But it also requires like a 2-3mm longer piece of glass which is ridiculous. I typically prefer RDAs but yeah, there's a fine RBA that can be used in the baby. I don't think the Baby is too bad a guzzler with the not-crazy-low ohm coils like the .4 and .6s. It is definitely a guzzler with the very low heads.

@Cf11 There is a difference between a .3 and .5ohm coil, but a) if you haven't been vaping a very long time you may not recognize it on a regulated device, and b) you might especially not recognize it if you vape both at the same wattage. I actually prefer the .5 coil at a higher wattage.

Also, I'll be damned, there aren't any vent holes on the AL85. Still, if people are having "difficulty" getting a vape after a few puffs, there's a serious issue. Rather, if AL85s, which are a popular mod, were exploding left and right I think we'd hear of it.... but it's definitely not ideal from a safety standpoint. Still, it's unlikely the mod is airtight. In the rare event you have a crappy battery in a crappy circumstance, I'd imagine there's elsewhere for the gas to vent. Especially with that big side button.

^ That's not super fair or true on any mod that has a USB port, basically, which this does. The likelihood of the battery tube and whole mod being airtight-- a necessary condition for "hand grenade" with ecgis-- is slim. Vent holes are far more essential on a mech, obviously.

Ed: and yes, vent holes are a good safety feature, and no, a purpose-designed USB "vent" (which this isn't) isn't a stand-in for vent holes. But if you have an 18650 venting so hard that a USB port can't help, a couple of tiny little holes-- like the Pico-- won't help either. GOOD vent holes might.
