Goodbye BB.... we can't be friends anymore!

Sad week for me. I'm 2/3rds of the way through a 100ml bottle of Boba's and I've had to admit I can't vape it anymore.

About two weeks ago I was having a really bad time with asthma like tightening of the chest, coughing and wheezing and was generally in a bad way. A new juice order came in and I started trying new juice and my breathing got back to perfect. I hadn't associated it with anything or assumed it was vaping related, I just got better.

Two nights ago I switched back to BB and half an hour later I was wheezing again. Seemed very strange. Switched to a tank of plain VG and it went away in about an hour.
Switched back to BB and it came back

I've been on RY4 for the last couple of days and just tried a fresh carto of BB and.... you guessed it....

I'm pretty gutted and not sure why this has just started happening. I've loved BB and had it in my rotation for months.
I always prefer to vape 100% VG juices, and unflavoured VG is fine so I know it's not VG.
I guess I've developed an aversion to one of the flavourings. This SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll try ordering some GJ now and hope and pray that I'm fine with that.

I would put it away for a while in the fridge or a cool place and revisit it in a few weeks, it may just be something else is going on, I have had this with a juice before and came back to revisit it and no issues down the road, worth a try anyways.

I GOT GREAT NEWS

It's not just BB in general, it's only this bottle. I gave some to my brother and the same thing has happened

I'm guessing I haven't been shaking it enough. I normally just give the 100ml bottle a quick shake, stick a syringe in the top and pull 5ml out to go into my daily 5ml bottle. Maybe it has seperated.

This means I can just order more and should be ok. Happy Days!!!!!!

This bottle was ordered from Vulcan Vapes about 7 weeks ago so could have spent up to 3 months in this bottle I guess.
I'll grab some amber glass bottles asap.

Damn, just tipped it into other bottles for now and it's closer to 60ml not 40mls. Hard to tell in the big bottle
I'll steep them for a couple of weeks with the lid off and hope they come good.

I can't imagine having to throw this much BB away

Hmm. I have a similar problem, <---cop.

I don't have asthma or lung problems. I ordered a sample of Boba's, instantly loved it the minute it arrived. Immediately ordered a 30 ml bottle.

Turns out, for some reason, I too can't vape it very much. It's the only juice that eventually makes me cough, and feels like it's coating my lungs, as a commenter on another thread mentioned. Like shortness of breath.

I thought maybe it was because it's the only 100% VG juice I vape. But maybe not. Maybe it's a reaction to some of the flavor ingredients.

I seem to have somewhat less of an issue with it in cartos than in Stardusts. I'm vaping Boba's in a carto right now, and just coughed for the first time, after about 10 hits. No sensation of shortness of breath. Yet. I haven't vaped Boba's in a couple of days.

I've mixed it with another vendor's Turkish, and it's fine as far as vapability . . . just not that great Boba's taste.

I thought maybe a 50/50 PG/VG version would help. But Alien doesn't make one, so I don't know.

Too bad. Because I really love the stuff.

I don't know if I can help Porphy or not, but he's already helped me understand a lot.

Yep, he shipped two samples of Boba's to me to "test." They arrived yesterday.

I hadn't vaped Boba's that much recently, because of my little reaction (which I've only seen maybe 3 or 4 others also mention, across the threads). I wanted to vape it quite a bit before the test juices got here, to see if I still had the same reactions.

I still had about 6ml left of my first Boba's order. Last week I took Mr. Mann's suggestion for "thinning" it with one drop of distilled water for every 2 mls of Boba's. Started vaping it like crazy, in a carto and a Stardust.

Coughing, yes. Though it was less with the Stardusts. The feeling of congestion, shortness of breath, "coating" my lungs (as one comment noted)? Not so much. Not at all, really.

Why? Well, this test proposed by Porphy has made me really aware of all the possible variables.

1) I may have previously had something below the radar going on physically (I'm quite healthy) that reacted to Boba's, that's no longer there.

2) There may be a Boba's ingredient (not VG) that makes me cough a bit (though I didn't cough nearly as much yesterday as in the past).

3) I doubt it's the VG, since AVE's Flue Cured (which I also like) doesn't make me cough and has never made me feel short of breath.

4) There may have been something about the 30ml of Boba's when new, that affected me, that was no longer there six weeks later (though I never purposefully steeped it).

5) It may be a personal reaction that only builds up with time and frequency.

All I know is Alien Vapors created a classic and much loved ejuice with Boba's, from comments all around ECF. I doubt many, if any, other venders would have bothered with a few minor reactions that could be anything from physiological to psychosomatic, much less troubling to ship some samples for trial comparisons.

Uh, when was the last time you got customer service like that, anywhere, for anything? Without even asking.

Impressed.

Now that I know what the variations in my base reactions have been, over time, can't wait to start comparison-vaping.

Pretty sure I won't turn into a giant fly in jeans and sneakers.

Time to order more juice from AVE.... awesome customer service!!!

As a side note... I tend to NOT inhale (into my lungs) ANY vape. I vape like one would smoke a cigar or pipe..just take into mouth and blow out thru nose or just exhale.

I know..not as satisfying if you were a cancer stick user (like I was)...but I also found MOST e-juice (100% PG, 70/30, 100% VG) made me cough and tickled my throat.
