Goodlife Vapor - I must say I am pretty disappointed with their newer juice lines

I am a huge fan of GLV, Melon Boba, El Kamino, Deadly Sin, and Zombie Blood have all become staples in my collection. I do enjoy many more of their flavors though.

So a few months ago I was stocked when they announced 4 new flavors that "were going to be their best ever". Circus! Circus!, Bangkok Dangerous, Solaris, and Supersonic. I tried a sampler pack of all of them and was thoroughly unimpressed sadly. They weren't bad by any means, just average I thought. Although Circus! Circus! does look cool in a tank. None of them struck me as "wow, that good! I got to order a 50ml."

So the new Nebbia line hits the other week, I was a little hesitant, but 2 of them sounded right up my alley. High Five and Kustard, Kustard is good, it's a plain custard flavor so not much can go wrong here. It just does not do anything that the hundreds of other custards do not do. They all kinda taste the same to me.

Now High Five I was very saddened by, such high hopes. But it's just bad. The bourbon note tastes more like a jailhouse wine, I did not get any oak in it at all. No complexity whatsoever. Just their run of the mill vanilla and that funky jailhouse wine alcohol note.

It's obvious what High Five was trying to emulate, it fell well short of that. It is not even a passible juice in comparison to their signature line.

I don't know what's changed, but it seems like their newer juices are just not as well thought out and outstanding as their original line up.

Yeah they draw a lot of inspiration from other, well know, well selling liquids.

Magic Fairy is an obvious dupe of Pluid.

Spook sauce probably is a dupe of Witches Brew, sold on elevated vaping.

El Kamino was probably an attempt to recreate Bobas Bounty/Gorilla Juice

The Orange Blossom is probably an attempt at Queenside.

Kustard is his version of Grants.

I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Deadly Sin was probably born out of the great Snickerdoodle shortage of 2011. I wasn't around then, but I've heard it was serious. Perhaps one of the vets could weigh in.

I think I have deadly sin instead of blood. Its a horrible addiction! lol

I did not try circus circus or solaris - they really aren't in my flavor profile, I ordered supersonic because I loved likmaid as a kid and - honestly - I just thought it was funny. I also had bangkok dangerous in that order - and I was pleasantly surprised by both. Once BD aged I liked it - and I dont even like tobaccos lol. I ordered that one for my OH. As much as I have never liked a candy vape- I do love the supersonic and I order that and the BD in 50mls when I get my 100 of DS.

I am intrigued by high5, but def a little skeptical to bother with it - thats sad :( I may get a 10ml and give it a go eventually.

As far EK - most people love it - but I absolutely HATE banana flavor in a vape (i love bananas, banana bread - heck even banana candy! but not in a vape LOL) I dont think it was an attempt to replicate Bobas though - its not even remotely similar in flavor profile. Its a banana tobacco taste.

I love El Kamino, which IMO tastes nothing like Boba's Bounty. Both are in my rotation but I can't even begin to get the comparison. Deadly Sin is another vape in my rotation. I don't know anything about the old snickerdoodle but I love DS. Those are the only 2 that interest me so I'm very satisfied with GLV.

I have the Kustard and High Five and the kustard is ok, I think custard in general isn't the most exciting flavor in the world. The High Five is one of my favorite juices I've ever tried I think! Once is has aged a bit the oaky tobacco, vanilla and cognac combine so perfectly. I am loving that one.

Ok, I have to ask. Why does Circus! Circus! look good in a tank?

I agree on this point, the High Five really needs some time to let that oakey/boozey flavor come to the surface. It's just lots of Vanilla right from the mailbox. I also found that using this juice in a dripping atty makes a world of a difference as well. Maybe it's the high VG content, or just my tastebuds.

How can anyone have let it age any longer than I have? I bought it the day it was released. Which makes it about 2 - 3 weeks old now.

That's odd because for me the vanilla didn't come out until later, and the booziness was fairly subtle the whole time! I haven't dripped it yet though-need a new dripper.

Got my first sampler from good life yesterday. High five, deadly sin, el kamino, English bulldog. I've tried all of them except English bulldog so far right out of the mail. None are bad, but seem weak in flavor.

High five seems to be trying to be 5 pawns long castle I'm guessing...though all I got was vanilla with a hint of liquor of some kind...where long castle is bursting with intense flavor.

El kamino to me has like a cinnamon element, not bad but NOT bobas.

Deadly sin I'm not sure what it is yet. Bakery type vape. I like tobacco vapes.

Will try bulldog tomorrow.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask....much experience in that department?

Seriously though, I'm probably one of the very few who can't stand Deadly Sin. Tried it right out of the mail, raw dough. Let it steep for several weeks, still doughy. I ended up giving it away.

I have been waiting for payday to come so I can order some of the new ones, like Bangkok Dangerous, though.

Just got a new GLV order in this week. I refilled my The Keys (love this one) and tried two new ones. The orange cupcake one is pretty decent, waiting to see if it develops though because so far it's not earth shattering. The banana one doesn't appeal to me, and I'm actually kind of hesitant to order any other vanilla flavors because I am not sure that anything will stand up to my favorite so I didn't try Kustard either.

I also got the High Five..er..ummmmm..rats. Quite disappointed in it. A little oakey, a little boozey..but just something MISSING. I haven't given it enough time to steep, that's true, but in the meantime for the tank I have filled, I added about half Custard's Last Stand from Nicoticket. Wow..that's GOOD! It added the sweetness or smoothness or something that it needed. I see people are picking up on radically different notes on it at first so this may or may not help you, but I am quite enjoying it now.

GLV still for sure one of my top three vendors!

Edited for clarification.

I'm thinking the new VG line just needs more steep time, it seems like VG juice in general benefits from that. I guess I'm one of the few loving High Five, I bet it will get even better with time. I love the Keys too!

So after reflecting on this thread for a bit, I decided to vape High Five and a bit of the sample of Castle long reserve that I've been squirreling away. Both 6mg juices in dual coil dripping atomizers with cotton wicks. IMO the device really plays a part in getting the best vape from a VG heavy juice. Cotton wicks on a dripping atty are where it's at. Clean, clear flavor that even my best tanks can't deliver. Now i'm not sure the age on the CLR, but my H5 is roughly 2 weeks old. At this point there are similar notions to the H5 that reference CLR, but these are drastically different juices. I'll preface this by saying I really like the H5 at this point, but it's still too young in my opinion for a VG heavy juice to really give it a fair shake. Much like Boba's and some of the HHV Purity line, they just need time to let the flavors and the viscous VG do their thing. I'm not expecting this to be a complex and nuanced a juice as CLR, but if it blooms just a bit more and tones down on the vanilla, this could be a fantastic pick from GLV.

I love El Kamino. I dont think it is an attempt to recreate Bobas Bounty, but rather then an attempt to make a juice that could stand toe to toe with Bobas. Both are some of my favorite juice. Neither taste alike to me, but both are really good.

I did grab some of their new High Five juice of their new line, and all i can say is i did not care more it. I vape at 18mg and that is what the juce was. WAY to strong of a throat it. A harshness if you will. Could not vape it.
