I did call a vape store (no brick and mortars near me) and the person I spoke to had a different idea for what would work for me. He said variables don't work for newbies (apparently we burn them out?) and then suggested an imist 650 kit. He felt I needed a low resistance (1.5) dual coil cartomizer and a 5v output battery. I'm not knocking his opinion or his merchandise, (ok, so I'm not crazy about the flat mouth piece, but he was very nice and sounded like he knew what he was talking about!) I just still feel a bit lost.
Thoughts please?
Ida know. Dual coils? LR? 5v? Already? That's the kind of stuff I see advanced vapers talk about. May be a great kit (I don't know that one myself) but sounds a bit like getting thrown into the deep end of the pool when you're first learning to swim.
Something more along the lines of this one is what I'd recommend:
Twist/Spinner Combo. Does not have to be that kit, does not have to be that vendor. They just have a nice combo set up. Easy to link to and say: "Like that".
eGo style batteries have tons of options available so you try other things out later. The variable voltage is nice. Liquids can taste different at different "heat" levels. The Twist and Spinner are easy to twiddle. You just turn the knob at the bottom.
The little tank widgets, the clearomizers? Easy to fill, easy to clean. Which is nice.
The GotVapes StartMeUp! kit Leal recommended is also a nice "one stop" starter. Though not variable voltage. But you could add a VV battery later. Since we're talking eGo, lots of things will swap in and out and you can try a bunch of stuff if you want.
Vamos, eVics, Provaris, all great kit. But they're considered "advanced". That's definitely jumping into the deep end of the pool. Which may work great for you. It may leave you absolutely baffled. Dunno.
I've been tempted by the eVic myself. But my checkbook laughs itself silly over the idea every time.
