I have tried both, I'm sure you can ask ten people and they will give you ten opinions. In my opinion the KBV Gooey Butter cake has a more....layered flavor, if that makes any sense. I got more under tones and a richer deeper flavor...but that's just IMO. You have the main clear flavors, followed by tons of undertones.

I personally don't recommend extra flavor. IMO it changes what the juice is intended to taste like, ESPECIALLY after it steeps. Adding extra flavor IMO will completely change the taste of the juice.
